Writer, director and producer, Mounes khammar is a multipotent person, which has earned him the success of everything he undertakes. He is part of a generation of Algerian filmmakers who have marked the revival of the Algerian Cinema, and who enjoys a high notoriety in the Arab world.
His career in the vast world of communication incites him to follow his passion for cinema, he founded in 2003 his own company SAPHINA PRODUCTIONS. He is known for his many international co-productions, such as Philippe Faucon's Frensh-Belgian film "La Trahison", which was the first foreign feature film shot entirely in Algeria for more than thirty years.
In 2005, he co-produced a documentary by Cyril Leuthy in partnership with 'Les Films Pélléas' entitled "La nuit s'achève". Then he produced and at the same time was the artistic director of the first Algerian film in High Definition « Houria ».
He continued the artistic adventures and achieved instant fame and notoriety with the release of his short film "The Last Passenger", a seven minute film that earned him the Black Pearl at the Abu Dhabi International Film Festival, it was selected among the ten finalists by the National Film Board of Canada, between 1600 Films at the film market in Cannes, and was screened in Los Angeles by the major American distributor "Shorts International", who nominated him for his selection of "Oscar Hopeful" with nine other american shorts.
Mounes later distinguished himself through other achievements, notably in 2013 when he directed "Eyyame", a video Clip, in the form of a short film, for The Diva Warda Al Jazairia, a famous arab singer, which earned him a reputation in the Arab world and internationally. This clip is considered today as the most broadcasted Algerian audiovisual product on international scales.
Through its network, he was selected to be the Artistic Director of the Oran Arab Film Festival in its 7th edition.
Always on the conquest of success, he has been deploying his energy for two years on the realization of a Fictional Documentary, whose release date is scheduled by the end of 2018.
