Charo Toledo

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I speak five languages. My language expertise was essential when I worked as a linguist for the DEA and took down international drug cartels for five years; earning the prestigious St. Michael's medal. This love for languages led me to transition into a writing career in Hollywood. I've worked on groundbreaking reality shows, game shows, comedy-dramas, telenovelas, soaps, features, sitcoms and theater in both Spanish and English. I was head writer and producer of Seasons 2 and 3 of the Emmy-nominated Hulu show, East Los High, and won a Sentinel Award. In addition, I produced the International Emmy award winner, El Vato, on Netflix and was a consulting producer on Confetti Mexico, Facebook's highest rated show in 2019 with 10 million followers. In 2023, I am shopping Feliz Café, a comedy-drama (Kevin Murphy attached) about my family. I also mentor the Latinx community to write their unique stories in English, Spanish or Spanglish: our voices, our power.
