Malinda Logan, a NOLA native, recently appeared on the fan favorite Will Trent, opposite Ramon Rodriguez and Iantha Richardson. She has also been seen on multiple episodes of AMC's Dispatches From Elsewhere starring Jason Segel, Sally Field, Richard Grant and Andre 3000. And her buddy comedy Mila & Mimi Too was a hit, making its LA premiere as the featured film showing before Mika Kunis and Kate McKinnon's The Spy Who Dumped Me premiere.
Raised with white clovers in her front yard and fig trees in her backyard, Malinda is the 10th generation descendant of the famous Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau. Some have even attributed her ancestry to her inherent nature of goodwill and service.
Upon leaving NOLA, Malinda spent her high school years in Maryland before heading to study acting at Ithaca College. Before graduating with a BFA Acting degree, Malinda also studied abroad in London, England.
Malinda settled in NYC to pursue acting and performed among numerous NY and regional stages before she decided to "retire from the business."
During that time, Malinda received a Masters Degree in Fundraising Management from Columbia University and became an executive leader in the nonprofit world.
Recognizing that the passion of performing never completely died, Malinda made the commitment to rejoin the entertainment industry. Malinda became a founding company member of the Paramount Hudson Valley Arts Theater, began directing and producing plays and short films. She continues to audition for and perform in tv and film productions, in plays, and in commercials. While acting has been - and will always be - Malinda's first love, her acts of service are not far behind.
Malinda has a strong and unyielding passion for humanity, volunteering through community engagement, and pursuing philanthropic endeavors.
