Robert Mark was born on 13 March 1917 in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, Lancashire, England, UK. He was married to Kathleen Mary Leahy. He died on 30 September 2010.
Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, 1972-1977. He was the first one
to rise all the way through the ranks of the Police starting at the
bottom, and this has been adhered to ever since.
