Atsushi Ogata is a film director, screenwriter, actor and comedian. Raised in Tokyo and New York, Ogata graduated from Harvard and M.I.T.
Ogata's films and videos, including his theatrically released Japanese comedy feature "Cast Me If You Can", have been screened and awarded world-wide. His screenplays received funding in Germany and Holland, and he appeared weekly as a comedian on Dutch TV.
In recent years, Ogata has expanded into web series with "Trick or Treat: I LOVE America!", "Yukata Cowboy®" , "Mona Lisa Cowboy" and "Lost & Found Cowboy." His iconic, comedic, cross-cultural character Yukata Cowboy ® has been garnering prizes at festivals around the world, ranking #12 in the Web Series World Cup in 2015 and 2021. Ogata has also performed improv and stand-ups in English in Amsterdam, Tokyo and New York.
