Justin Harding’s Carved, based on the filmmaker’s 2018 short of the same name, falls victim to typical short-turned-feature issues that Brandon Espy’s Mr. Crocket better sidesteps. It's a bite-sized idea in a king-sized wrapper. Hulu's latest "Huluween" treat is stale, dismissively tropey, and cannot sustain its elongated duration. Save for a smattering of body-hacking practical effects, Carved is an unenthusiastic holiday dud that’s not worth its momentary highlights of violent pumpkin-inflicted punishments.

In Cedar Creek Village, an off-the-highway community devastated by a chemical spill years ago, authority figures like Bill (DJ Qualls) and Kevin (Marc-Sully Saint-Fleur) are trying to move forward. Spongebob Squarepants film Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie is heading to Netflix, here’s the trailer.

Spongebob Squarepants is one of the most iconic, not to mention, successful, shows to emerge from Nickelodeon. Created by Stephen Hillenburg in 1999, the show grew into a huge hut and it is still running today. Clocking up 14 series and almost 300 episodes, it’s the highest rated show on the network.

The show follows the adventures of the tutular anthrpomorohic sponge and his friends, including Sandy, Squidward, Mr Krabs and his beloved snail Gary, under the sea in Bikini Bottom.

The character first made the leap to the big screen in 2004, and since then there have been two further films – Sponge Out Of Water in 2015 and Sponge On The Run in 2021. A fourth theatrical film remains in development.

The latest addition to the Scu – Spongebob Cinematic Universe – is spin-off Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie.

Prime Video’s “Fallout” Gets First Look

The bunker door is creaking open at Prime Video. The streamer has released the first images for its upcoming “Fallout” series adaptation, starring Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, and more.

Based on the Bethesda video game franchise of the same name, the series takes place “in a future, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles [where] citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants, and bandits after nuclear annihilation.”

Step aside, Mr. Grey, because HBO Max has released the first teaser trailer for the Cristin Milioti-led dark comedy “Made for Love,” and it features a truly haunting rendition of Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” by Ray Romano.

The series, an adaptation of the 2017 novel by Alissa Nutting, stars Milioti as Hazel Green, a woman on the run after 10 years in a suffocating marriage to tech billionaire Byron Gogol (Billy Magnussen). Hazel soon discovers that Byron has implanted a monitoring device — the Made for Love chip — in her brain, allowing him to watch her every move as she seeks refuge with her aging widower father Herbert (Ray Romano) and his “synthetic partner,” Diane.

Yep, seems pretty crazy.

Taika Waititi isn’t lacking for upcoming projects, but the filmmaker behind highly-anticipated titles such as “Thor: Love and Thunder” and “What We Do in the Shadows” Season 3 is closing out 2020 with a final series announcement.

FX Networks revealed earlier in December that Waititi will executive produce “Reservation Dogs,” a half-hour comedy series that, per the network, will follow four Native American teenagers in rural Oklahoma who spend their days committing crime… and fighting it.

The company’s announcement might not have mentioned Quentin Tarantino or “Reservoir Dogs” but the similarities between Waititi’s upcoming series and Tarantino’s first film are readily apparent. The series’ promotional image is a clear throwback to the slickly-dressed criminals in Tarantino’s 1992 feature which also centered on a motley crew of criminals. Also, FX’s upcoming show bares a somewhat similar name to Tarantino’s theatrical debut.

FX has picked up to series Reservation Dogs, a half-hour comedy series from Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi.

It was announced by Nick Grad, President, Original Programming, FX Entertainment.

Reservation Dogs follows four Native teenagers in rural Oklahoma who spend their days committing crime... and fighting it.

The series opener, penned by Harjo and Waititi, was directed by Harjo and shot in Okmulgee, Okla.

The eight-episode series will be executive produced by Harjo, Waititi and Garrett Basch. Reservation Dogs is produced by FX Productions.

“Sterlin Harjo draws deeply on his experiences as a Native Oklahoman to make Reservation Dogs a true-to-life and incredibly funny story of youth, courage and misadventures,” said Grad.

Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi’s Native American comedy Reservation Dogs has been handed a series order at FX.

This comes after the half-hour project, which follows four Native teenagers in rural Oklahoma who spend their days committing crime … and fighting it, shot a pilot in Okmulgee, Ok.

The pilot was written by Barking Water and Four Sheets to the Wind director Harjo, who also directed, and Thor: Ragnarok and Jojo Rabbit director Waititi. It is the latter’s latest project at FX with What We Do in the Shadows, the TV spinoff of vampire feature comedy, renewed for a third season. Harjo, Waititi and Garrett Basch, who exec produces What We Do in the Shadows, exec produce the FX Productions series.

The prolific filmmaker, who already has “What We Do in the Shadows” heading into a third season at the network, is teaming with Native American writer and director Sterlin Harjo for half-hour comedy “Reservation Dogs.”

“Reservation Dogs,” which has been handed a series order by FX, follows four Native teenagers in rural Oklahoma who spend their days committing crime and fighting it.

The pilot was co-written by Waititi and Harjo who also directed. It was shot in Oklahoma, where almost all of Harjo’s previous features and documentaries are set. The pair will executive produce alongside “What We Do in the Shadows” producer Garrett Basch.

FX has picked up Taika Waititi’s comedy “Reservation Dogs” to series, it was announced Tuesday.

The series follows four Native American teenagers in rural Oklahoma who spend their days committing crime, while also fighting it. Waititi wrote the pilot with Sterling Harjo, who also directed. Harjo, who shot the pilot in Okmulgee, Okla., is from the Sooner state.

“DuckTales” alum Ben Schwartz and “Big Mouth” star Ayo Edebiri are set to lend their voices to the feline and canine leads of “We Lost Our Human,” an animated Netflix interactive special from “Pinky Malinky” creators Rikke Asbjoern and Chris Garbutt.

Per the streaming service, “Audiences will choose to experience the story from the perspective of a self-involved cat (Pud) or a loving, hyperactive dog (Ham), who wake up one day to find that their human and All humans have disappeared from Earth! Desperate to find their owner, these two homebound pets venture out into the world for the first time to discover strange mysteries, meet bizarre creatures and maybe – with the audience’s help – save the universe along the way!”

Along with Schwartz as Pud and Edebiri as Ham, the cast of “We Lost Our Human” includes Adrienne C. Moore, Lauren Tom, Jon Glaser, Henry Rollins, Lucas Grabeel and Matty Cardarople.

Netflix is pushing further into the animated interactive special space.

Parks and Recreation alum Ben Schwartz and Big Mouth star Ayo Edebiri will to voice a new interactive choose-your-own-adventure special for Netflix.

The pair are set to lead the voice cast of 2D-animated special We Lost Our Human from Rikke Asbjoern and Chris Garbutt, creators of Nickelodeon and Netflix series Pinky Malinky.

It is the streamer’s latest interactive special. The company did one for the drama Black Mirror and another for comedy Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Schwartz, who also stars in Netflix’s Space Force, voices Pud, while Edebiri, who replaced Schwartz’s onscreen Parks and Rec sister Jenny Slate as the voice of Missy in Big Mouth, voices Ham. The cast also includes Adrienne C. Moore, Lauren Tom, Jon Glaser, Henry Rollins, Lucas Grabeel and Matty Cardarople.

This first premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year, and also stopped by the Busan Film Festival - we featured the first teaser last fall. Niki Koss, best known for co-starring on the Freeform series Famous in Love, will make her feature directorial debut with Night, Night, a psychological thriller about a woman who wakes up from a horrific car accident and must find a way to survive a recovery from hell. Descendants actress Brenna D’Amico is attached to star in the film which was written by Robert Johnson. Additional cast includes Tony Todd, Eric Roberts, Brooke Anne Smith, Adam Budron, Nick Marini, Matty Cardarople, and Neels Visser. Filming will commence this month in Corsicana, Texas. Koss, Johnson, Austin Seltzer, and Ryan DeLaney are producing while Amber McNutt will serve as executive producer. Koss is repped by Abrams Artists and Mckeon Myones.
