If you're like us, you can't wait for the first day of every month, because you know that Netflix is going to add a ton of new movies and TV shows. You refresh your account over and over again at midnight, hoping that those titles listed in the "Recently Added" section update with something new and exciting rather than the same ol' titles you've been staring at for the last four weeks.
Well, lo and behold, we've gathered the most exciting movies and TV shows being added to America's most popular streaming service, straight from Netflix themselves.
"Rocky" fans will be pumped to know that the first five boxing flicks (sorry, "Rocky Balboa" fans) will be added August 1, joining other '70s, '80s, and '90s movie favorites "Face/Off" (slow-motion doves!), "Mad Max" (apocalyptic leather!), "Spice World" (spice up your life!), "The Birdcage" (Calista Flockhart was in this,...

Ja from Mnpp here with this week's "Beauty Vs Beast," which is a real Hemingway-esque battle between the forces of Man and the forces of the Untamed Wildnerness. On the one side we have Tom Hanks, multiple Oscar winner, as the determined Detective Scott Turner, trying to solve the most important make-it-or-break-it case of his career. And on the other side... there's Hooch, the junkyard dog who witnessed this most heinous act of murder.
As the VHS box said at the video-store I worked at in high school, they're the oddest couple ever unleashed! Today is actually the 25th anniversary of Turner & Hooch's release, and heck, somebody should note it. Tom Hanks would probably rather it be forgotten, and I probably haven't seen the movie in 20 years, but I was 11 when it came out and dang it... I totally saw it. That means something.
T&H was actually a pretty...

To get to a happy ending in a Tom Hanks movie, an innocent character has to pay the price. Here's the proof...
Feature
With the best part of $10bn banked for his movies across his career, Tom Hanks remains one of the biggest and most interesting movie stars on the planet. His most recent performance in Captain Phillips, for instance, was comfortably one of his best. And looking back on Hanks’ career, the path of increased boldness and range is easy to chart.
Furthermore, he’s achieved his successes without public meltdowns, without signs of turning into a diva, and without putting us through many poor films at all. The man is a hero.
Well, to everyone but certain characters in his movies. For, on rewatching Big, we became aware of an alarming trend: that there tends to be a character in a Tom Hanks movie whose role is to...

"The Real Housewives of Washington D.C." has not been renewed for a second season, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
A rep for Bravo told Access that franchise, which featured socialite Mary Schmidt Amons, talent agency owner Lynda Erkiletian, British import and author Catherine "Cat" Ommanney, real estate agent Stacie Scott Turner and alleged White House party crasher Michaele Salahi, will not return.
"We had an amazing season and we told stories that were unique to any other in the franchise. I wish all our D.C. wives the best and hope to work with them again in another capacity," Andy ...

"The Real Housewives of D.C." is not over just yet. Despite claim that the show did not do well, Bravo has not canceled it as reported by Radar Online. A representative for the network says to Access Hollywood that "no decision has been made yet" regarding the future of the reality series.
The denial is released by the rep following Radar's report that Bravo will not renew "Real Housewives of D.C." after one low-rated season. "The show just didn't do well and it wasn't worth airing another season," a source close to the situation tells the site.
"The DC housewives were meant to be starting shooting their second season now and they haven't heard a peep from Bravo," the source adds. "No one from the cast has been contacted yet and told that the show is canceled."
