Jérôme COMBE, Co-Founder, Fortiche Production & Head of Visual Development for Arcane
Jérôme Combe is Co-Founder of Fortiche Production, the internationally renowned animation studio behind the critically-acclaimed series Arcane - for which he is also responsible for Visual Development.
In 1991, he bought a computer to teach himself 3D animation. A fan of the game "Another World" and Eric Chahi's work, he asked him to collaborate on his future project, Heart of Darkness (Amazing Studio, 1998).
Combe went on to work as cinematic director and character designer on various video games projects, before developing a 2D/3D mix technique (cell shading), with the ambition of creating a unique "look development" in animation that targeted a more adult audience. He has received numerous awards for his work, including Respire for Mickey 3D and Thomas Fersen, which was awarded at the Victoires de la musique in 2004. He launched Fortiche Production in 2009 together with Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord.
