Spooky Pictures and Image Nation Abu Dhabi are joining forces once again for the upcoming horror movie Archangel, with THR reporting that Conor Leslie (“Titans”) will star.

Bryan Edward Hill wrote the script and directed the upcoming film. Archangel centers on a privately funded organization researching the possibility of life after death.

“It is targeted by an ancient entity that wants to keep mankind from understanding the true nature of the supernatural.”

Greg Hovanessian (Cardinal), Alyshia Ochse (True Detective), Azure Parsons (The Astronauts Wives Club) and Trevor Riley (Animal Kingdom) also star.

Archangel will have a presence at San Diego Comic Con next week, and The Hollywood Reporter notes that Bryan Edward Hill will expand the world of the movie with a graphic novel.

Conor Leslie, who played Donna Troy on DC show Titans, is starring in Archangel, a horror thriller from comic book and screenwriter Bryan Edward Hill.

Hill, who was a writer and supervising producer on Titans, is making his directorial debut with the movie, which has now wrapped after shooting under the radar. It will be unveiled at next week’s San Diego Comic-Con, with Hill and Leslie in attendance.

Just in time for 4/20 weekend, Lindsey Haun and Nick Roth are getting set to unleash Hanky Panky, and they’ve let us know that you might want to be high when you watch it.

“A man and a talking napkin save the world from an evil top-hat, and also learn to love” in Hanky Panky, which will be streaming April 19 on Google Play, Apple TV, Vudu, and Amazon.

The aforementioned evil top-hat is voiced by none other than Seth Green!

The filmmakers preview, “Hanky Panky was inspired by the way certain zany comedies like Wet Hot American Summer and Caddyshack seemed to capture the energy of locking their whole cast and crew together in, say, a summer camp, or a coke-orgy fueled hotel in the middle of a Florida hurricane with Chevy Chase — and then somehow get that energy on screen.

In July, five-time Emmy nominee Eric Weinberg was arrested on 20 charges of sexual assault, including rape. He currently remains free on a 3.25 million bail. Now, a new The Hollywood Reporter exposé reveals the long road to Weinberg’s arrest and why a detective on the case believes the claims of sexual assault, including rape, kidnapping, harassment, and stalking only “scratch the surface.”

The “Scrubs” co-executive producer and writer was arrested July 14 on sexual assault charges dating from 2012 to 2019. Approximately 30 women spoke with THR about their encounters with Weinberg, who allegedly approached them in public areas throughout Los Angeles, listed his Hollywood credentials with shows like “Californication” and “Anger Management,” and persuaded them to pose for his amateur photography. Claims range from 2000 through 2021 and include claims across Oregon and New York as well as California.

Weinberg is accused of violent rape under the guise of photo shoots or an OKCupid date.

Too little too late, but ABC has finally found the perfect companion piece for "Pan Am." A bright-and-glossy dose of '60s nostalgia mixed with easily digestible proto-feminism, ABC's "Astronaut Wives Club" premieres on Thursday (June 18) night, more than three years after "Pan Am" was cancelled and I suspect they're likely to be remembered in the same way: Period dramas with high production values, a fantastic cast that ABC will look back at yearningly and unrealized creative potential obscuring otherwise solid storytelling. Joseph Quinn on the Showtime drama “Dexter,” will play Alan Shepherd, the first American in space. Described as competitive and steely with a wry sense of humor, Shepherd has a playboy reputation, but has been married to his wife Louise for 53 years. A member of the Miami Metro team is going into space: Dexter co-star Desmond Harrington has been cast as famed astronaut Alan Shepard in ABC’s drama pilot Astronaut Wives Club.

Shepard was one of the Mercury 7 astronauts and the first American who went into space. He is described in the casting notes as “competitive, steely, and has a wry sense of humor. Despite a playboy reputation, he and his wife Louise are married for 53 years.”

Azure Parsons (True Detective, Salem) will co-star opposite JoAnna Garcia Swisher in ABC‘s summer drama series Astronaut Wives Club. Parsons, repped by Sweeney Entertainment and Imperium 7, will play one of them, Annie Glenn, the wife of John Glenn whom she’s known since they were toddlers in Ohio.   The Syfy Channel churns out so many low-budget movies that it's really easy to lose track of them all -- and it's particularly difficult to recall the titles of the ones that aren't 100% disposable junkpiles suitable only for late-night inebriated visitations. Well over a year after it aired on SyFy, the Drew Daywalt-directed Red Clover (aka Leprechaun's Revenge) is making its way to DVD under the After Dark Original banner.

Chicago – While you wouldn’t normally compare the new action/comedy “2 Guns” with the comedy “I Love You, Man,” really the only difference between what Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington are doing now versus what Paul Rudd and Jason Segel did in 2009 is that “2 Guns” uses crime as the means by which two grown men fall in love with one another.

Rating: 3.5/5.0

Based on the Boom! Studios graphic novels by Steven Grant, “2 Guns” is an unexpected bromance with just enough action to give its original subject matter justice and the surprising discovery of comedy to make it an overall worthy film to see. Mark Wahlberg doesn’t only co-star in this film; he steals the show. Refreshingly, he does not just his gun but even more so with his mouth.

The trailer for the Drew Daywalt directed Leprechaun's Revenge is here, and it actually looks kinda fun in a really goofy way. You only get a few creature shots here and there in this piece, but it readily shows off its ensemble and SyFy charm. Billy Zane (Titanic) stars alongside William Devane, Kelly Washington, Courtney Halverson, Azure Parsons, Matty Ferraro and Kevin Mangold. SyFy's latest creature, Leprechaun's Revenge, is coming - of course - on March 17th and the first trailer has been released.

Starring Billy Zane and William Devane, the story picks up days before the annual St. Patrick's Day parade. A teenage girl unwittingly unleashes a murderous leprechaun upon the citizens of a small town. The creature goes on a violent rampage, slaughtering descendants of the original settlers who stole its gold. Now the girl and her family have four days to kill the leprechaun – otherwise she will die from the leprechaun curse.

Leprechaun’s Revenge is a production of After Dark Films and was scripted by Anthony C. Ferrante (Scream of the Banshee). Kelly Washington, Courtney Halverson, Azure Parsons, Matty Ferraro and Kevin Mangold also star.

Drew Daywalt directs and, honestly, this looks like it's a cut above the usual SyFy fare.

Back last October the Afm had listed the intriguingly entitled SyFy production 'Leprecahn' to their site. Most likely due to a spelling error the Drew Daywalt directed project was soon touting a seemingly endless range of alternative titles. Soon thereafter it became 'Red Clover' and then 'St. Patrick's Day Leprechaun' and then finally decided to settle on 'Leprechaun's Revenge'. The movie has no ties to the 'Leprechaun' horror franchise that stars Warwick Davis ('Life's Too Short') but will premiere on SyFy next month on Saturday, 17 March at 9pm - St Patrick's Day. IMDb refers to the movie as St. Patrick's Day Leprechaun, and while that may not be the film's final title, the website has announced the cast, which includes a few genre favorites. While the world continues to wonder if Warwick Davis will ever don his leprechaun garb again, After Dark Originals and Syfy are teaming up to bring a different killer leprechaun to life in Red Clover. Billy Zane and William Devane better stock up on Lucky Charms cereal pronto.

This Syfy flick originally titled both St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun and just simply Leprechaun (or Leprecahn as the American Film Market website initially misspelled it) has now undergone yet another title change to Red Clover, as was just announced by director Drew Daywalt on his Facebook page.

Daywalt is best known for a series of horror short films and for having directed a few episodes of MTV’s “Death Valley”. Red Clover will mark his first foray into feature filmmaking. The script was penned by fellow horror filmmaker Anthony C. Ferrante (Boo!, Scream of the Banshee).

Over at Fangoria.com, they are debuting director Drew Daywalt's short film "Ny Name is Kris Kringle." The film stars R. A. Mihailoff (Texas Chainsaw Massacre III), Bradley James, Donnie Jeffcoat and Azure Parsons (Heart of the Sun). In this five minute movie, Ol' Saint Nick shows that kids need to be a lot more nice to receive gifts, or just to stay alive.

The film begins in a suitable Christmas fashion, as sleigh bells jingle and the music is happy. However, soon Kris Kringle steps out of a well decorated house with a cleaver in one hand and a kid's head in the other! This is not the usual Santa that most are used. Kringle is soon taken down to the police station for interviews and accusations. Santa uses some of his magical powers to escape his bonds, while leaving behind a "Naughty Book.

The room is quiet as actor Bradley James peers over at a sullen R.A. Mihailoff. “I’m trying to do right by you, Kris, but you’re giving me nothing,” says the exhausted officer. Mihailoff is off-screen, but nonetheless in character, replies, “I know, and I’m so very sorry.” Not a second later, the lovely Azure Parsons makes her way into the room, slams the door behind her and throws a file down onto the table. This writer is starting to wonder how many more takes that door can last before falling off its hinges. But there are more important matters at hand-like a psychopath covered in blood not answering some very important questions. It's that time of year again where the big jolly man straps on his red suit and prepares to bring joy and terror to children everywhere. This year the horror genre has seen an upswing of holiday horror films, most notably Rare Exports, which has been garnishing a lot of press lately. Another film that is generating some buzz is a new short film from genre favorite Drew Daywalt titled 'My Name is Kris Kringle'. Fangoria will be screening it on December 25.

In an interview with Fangoria, Daywalt said that “My Name Is Kris Kringle is about a worst-case scenario for a group of homicide detectives on Christmas Eve,” Daywalt tells Fango. “Brad James, Azure Parsons [from Camera Obscura] and Donnie Jeffcoat [from 1988’s Night Of The Demons] play the police officers, who capture a maniac who’s dressed like Santa and covered in blood [played by R.A. Mihailoff of Leatherface, Hatchet II and Fango FrightFest’s Dark House]. And when they get him back to the police station, the horror comes from the interrogation.
