Jacob Douglas Saylor was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Julie Kuhns and
Larry Saylor. Raised as an only child, his parents divorced when Jacob
was four years old. Jacob's earliest performances where in the annual
musicals at the Catholic Grade school of St. Martin of Tours in
Cheviot, Ohio. He continued performing in Glee club and the Drama
Department of LaSalle High school in Cincinnati. His Senior year he was
awarded the Art award for his contributions to the Drama, Music, and
Visual Art Departments over his four years.
He studied for one year at the College Conservatory of Music (University of Cincinnati) concentrating in Dramatic Performance and finished college at Butler University (Indianapolis, IN) with a degree in Theatrical Performance and a minor in Vocal Music. While at Butler, he performed in Jazz and classical touring choirs, as well as spent a semester abroad at the University of Wollongong, in Wollongong, Australia. Jacob also spent a summer interning for Garry Marshall at Henderson Productions and the Falcon Theatre of Toluca Lake, California.
Upon graduation, Jacob performed in several Regional Equity Theatre productions in Indianapolis before moving to Los Angeles.
