Fans of 911: Lone Star are hopeful the characters may make their way to other 911 shows but there's some bad news on that front!
911: Lone Star fans have had a tricky time as of late. Season 4 ended in May 2023, with plans for Season 5 put off when the 2023 Hollywood strikes happened. When the strikes ended, rather than a shortened season, Fox decided to simply hold the show off until fall 2024.
Then a wrinkle hit when Sierra McClain announced she was leaving the series with her character Grace written out and changing a storyline for Jim Parrack's Judd. Then Fox confirmed speculation that Season 5 would be the last one.
The franchise will continue with the mothership 911 on ABC and there are plans for a spinoff. That has fans eager to know if any characters can jump to said spinoff. However, speaking to TVLine, co-showrunner Rashad Raisani said that may be beyond his control.

911: Lone Star fans are surprised at the new plotline with Judd which turns out to be because of a huge cast exit!
Caution: This article contains Spoilers for 911: Lone Star Season 5
911: Lone Star fans were already upset to learn that Season 5 would be the last for the Fox spinoff. It got worse when it was announced Sierra McClain would not be returning for it. Her marriage to firefighter Judd (Jim Parrack) was one of the highlights of the show. It also made little sense narratively as Judd had just quit the 126 and was raising paralyzed son Wyatt (Jackson Pace).
The season premiere explained Grace had been moved to join a missionary group with Judd seemingly supportive of it. Helping the team in an emergency had Judd returning to the 126 but now as a probie.

Ten years ago, one of HBO’s many hit shows that became a pop culture phenomenon had ended its run. True Blood was created by American Beauty writer Alan Ball and was based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries novels written by Charlaine Harris. The show dealt with vampires becoming ingrained in society with a new evolving fight for equal rights. The series starred Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Chris Bauer, Nelsan Ellis, Jim Parrack, Carrie Preston, Alexander Skarsgård, Todd Lowe, Deborah Ann Woll, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Lauren Bowles, and Joe Manganiello.
Deadline reports on the exciting development of Alexander Skarsgård reprising his role (unofficially) for an appearance in this final season of the FX comedy series What We Do in the Shadows. Skarsgård was not explicitly identified as Eric Northman, but his signature look was retained, although he took some liberties to change things...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 Episode 9 “Fall From Grace.”] The good news: Carlos (Rafael Silva) finally closes the case on his father’s murder. The bad news: The truth about what happened is a tough pill to swallow. But 9-1-1: Lone Star, in its last fall finale, delivers answers and ends its 2024 on a promising note for Tarlos. Though it looked like Carlos’ new partner Campbell (Parker Young) was dirty and had sold out criminal informants then killed Gabriel Reyes, he was, in fact, set up by Chief Bridges (Alan Autry). Campbell then saved Carlos’ life, taking out Bridges when he had no choice, during a standoff with the Rangers. “At the end of 508, I thought I was a bad guy,” ...

When do new episodes of 9-1-1: Lone Star return? That’s the question on fans’ minds as a repeat episode hits Fox airwaves.
Season 5 of 9-1-1: Lone Star is in full swing, with less than a handful of episodes until the series finale.
However, fans will have two breaks before we say farewell to the 126 for good, and one will be long.
The first hiatus begins tonight, which really shouldn’t surprise anyone, considering it’s a holiday week.
Instead of a new episode, Fox is airing Season 5, Episode 1, titled Both Sides Now.
There’s some good news, though, regarding the return of 9-1-1: Lone Star.

As 9-1-1: Lone Star prepares to come to an end, fans will be missing closure from one character who’s been there since the beginning.
Co-showrunner Rashad Raisani recently broke the news that Sierra McClain will not reprise her role as 9-1-1 operator Grace Ryder ahead of the Fox procedural’s series finale on Feb. 3, 2025, following her exit amid contract renegotiations in June.
“Not for lack of effort,” Raisani told TVLine about attempts to have McClain return.
Grace’s exit was explained earlier in the fifth and final season when her firefighter husband Judd (Jim Parrack) noted she was doing missionary work with real-life Christian nonprofit Mercy Ships, which sends hospital ships around the world to provide life-saving surgeries.
“The only thing that I think could get Grace away from her family was this higher calling, which has been a part of her character from day one,...

When news broke ahead of 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 that Sierra McClain walked away from the show, there were questions about how Grace would be written out.
As one of the Fox drama’s most popular characters, it was a tricky situation for the writers to navigate because there had to be a genuine reason for her to leave her husband, Judd (Jim Parrack), and her life in Texas behind.
The good news is that the show didn’t waste much time before giving viewers insight into what happened after the conclusion of 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4.

The show explained in the first episode that Grace had gone abroad to volunteer with the real-life organization Mercy Ships, which is a global charity founded on Christian principles that runs non-governmental hospital ships.
Showrunner Rashad Raisani told TVLine that killing off Grace “didn’t feel like it was the right thing to do by her. The only thing we could think of to justifiably pull Grace away from her family and job was an even greater calling. And the only thing in Grace’s world that could answer that was God.

This article contains spoilers for the Sept. 23 episode of “9-1-1: Lone Star”
“9-1-1: Lone Star” returned to Fox Monday night with a massive train derailment and a major cast change: As previously announced, Grace Ryder, played by original cast member Sierra McClain, is no longer part of the show.
In the Season 5 premiere, her husband Judd Ryder (Jim Parrack) explained why she’s not in Austin with him and their daughter Charlie: The always devout Grace is volunteering for a Christian charity abroad.
Executive producer Rashad Raisani told TheWrap that, if the show had earned a sixth season, he would have loved to see her come back. “I want to make a point to say, I love Sierra McClain. I think she’s essential to the DNA of the show and there is no replacing her, period,” he said of writing around her character’s absence.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers for “Both Sides, Now,“ the Season 5 premiere of Fox’s “9-1-1: Lone Star.”
As we go on, we remember all the good times we’ve had with the 126 — and they aren’t over just yet. While Fox has confirmed that “9-1-1: Lone Star” will be concluding with its fifth season, the end is still a while away — the “9-1-1” spinoff just debuted its final season premiere Monday, after more than a year off the air.
In the episode, titled “Both Sides, Now,” the 126 begins its end dealing with a hijacked armored truck ahead of what will be a massive derailed train emergency over three episodes. Meanwhile, newly minted Texas Ranger Carlos (Rafael Silva) is learning the ropes while balancing his married life with T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein), with the young couple having been married for nearly a year following a time jump since their wedding in the Season 4 finale.

It’s been the question on every fan’s mind since Sierra McClain’s departure was confirmed this summer — how can 9-1-1: Lone Star possibly write out such an integral character in a way that won’t feel completely jarring? (Spoiler alert: It couldn’t.)
The procedural’s fifth and final season premiere on Monday revealed that Grace left home to volunteer with Mercy Ships, a faith-based organization that performs life-saving surgeries all over the world.
