- Maria's work as an actress has taken her around the world: from native Sweden to Australia on to Canada to eventually settle in London.
Having worked extensively as a child model from the age of 5, she landed her first TV part at the age of 10 and continued working in Film and television all trough her youth. She played the lead in En Klass For Sig (A Class of its Own), which won the Ebeltoft-prize for best Scandinavian Youth TV Series.
After being accepted in to the acting program at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Maria moved to Perth where she also picked up a passion for surfing,
In 2005 Maria auditioned for and got accepted to Studio 58, one of Canada's most prestigious theatre schools. Upon graduation in 2008, she was awarded The Sydney J. Risk Foundation Award for outstanding skills in acting and a promising future as an actress. That year she also won an award for best supporting actress in her role as Mrs. Potter Porter in Annie Get Your Gun.
