James Heaphy(I)

Jim Heaphy was born in Queens, New York.
He Currently (2022) Lives in Auckland New Zealand. His most recent
projects include One of Us is lying (Baseball Coach, Security Guard),
M3GAN (Delivery Guy), Princess of Chaos (Mayor's Aide),
Shortland Street (Detective) and the Critically acclaimed short
Secret Places (Boyfriend).
Other projects he has worked on since moving to New Zealand,
include Power Rangers, Auckward Love, Touch Wood, AFK as well as
a Noel Leeming Christmas ad for electronics.
He is a former NYPD Detective with 20 years of law enforcement
experience. He retired from the NYPD in 2003 to pursue his acting
career. He has enjoyed success on the Stage as well as in Television
and Film. Jim's first role was as a Detective in the film 10th & Wolf
directed by Robert Moresco and can be seen in Abel Ferrera's latest
film, "Welcome to New York" where he plays NYPD Detective Fitzgerald
opposite Gerard Depardieu. He wrapped on his forth season as a
core Police Officer (2017) working on Fox's "Gotham".
Jim is a very energetic person who loves his life and is
passionate about his career. He particularly enjoys drawing on his life
experiences and brings his New York swagger to his various roles. In
"Compromised" as JTTF Detective Jack Ryan, in the 9/11 film "8:46" as
the FDNY Fire Chief, as well as his appearances on Network Television
as a Uniformed Police Officer there is no mistaking his New York roots.
Jim has studied with John Howard Swain and has studied at T. Schreiber
Studio's with Robert Verlaque & Page Clements. He was also a member of
the Improv group "Anything Goes" run by Scotty Watson. Jim is a member
of AE New Zealand, SAG/AFTRA as well as AEA. In New New Zealand Jim has
studied with Sally Spencer-Harris and Peter Feeney. He continues to work on
various shows currently filming in NZ as well as Short films and student projects
