Fleming edited the 2018 independent film Blindspotting, which was acquired by Lionsgate after its opening night screening at the Sundance Film Festival.
Fleming also edited director Ric Roman Waugh's 2019 feature Angel Has Fallen, starring Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman, along with Waugh's 2020 end-of-the-world movie Greenland. When he moved back to Los Angeles, Fleming worked on independent features such as director Kelly Reichardt's films Old Joy and Wendy and Lucy, starring Michelle Williams, before serving as an editor on big-budget features.
