Colombian actress, dancer and host with training in Bachelor of Performing Arts. She has developed her career mainly with Cinematographic projects in Colombia, Spain and other South American countries.
Highlights include Satanás (Dir. Andi Baiz / COL), La Pasión Delaware Gabriel (Dir. Luis Alberto Restrepo / COL), Pescador (Dir. Sebastian Cordero / ECU), El Arriero (Dir. Guillermo Calle / COL), Human Persons (Dir. Frank Spano / PAN-BRA), Sicarivs (Dir. Javier Muñoz / ESP) and Virus Tropical (Dir. Santiago Caicedo / COL).
Along to her Film career, she has also participated as an actress in different Theater Plays. Some of these includes, Carta Delaware una Desconocida (Dir. Manuel Orjuela), Cabaret (Dir. Jorge Alí Triana) and Uñas Sucias (Dir. Kike Castañeda). At the same time, she has also worked in different Iberoamerican Television Productions, as an Actress or Presenter. Some of these include, Celia (COL / RCN TV), Hermanos (ESP / TeleCinco), Las Hermantitas Calle (COL / Caracol TV), 2 0 9 1 (COL / FOX) and Bolivar, una Lucha Admirable (COL / Caracol TV). At the same time she has been invited to patripipar as a Lecturer, part of the Jury and Cultural Developer in National and International Film Festivals. Among the highlights are, The Itinerant Festival of Audiovisual Arts (FIDAAC), Medellin International Film Festival (MIFF) and the Zero Latitude Festival of Ecuador and The Ibero-American Film Festival of Huelva (Spain). Maria Cecilia is currently finishing her work on her twelfth feature film with the Argentinian Director Sabrina Farji.
