Writer/Director/Producer/Actor Angela Forrest, has been entertaining
New York City crowds for over ten years through theater, film,
multi-media spoken word, and comedy. Known for her wild headlining
antics at the Starlight Lounge's Starlight Revue, she was one of
Backstage Magazine's, "Top Ten Stand Out Stand-ups of 2004". Angela
later produced Starlight's first hour comedy special, "Angela Forrest
Live!", and started Forrest Entertainment. With Forrest
Entertainment, she wrote and performed, "Profile of a Saint" at
PS-NBC, later also co-produced its premiere at LaMaMa ETC, and was
nominated for a NY Innovative Theater Award for "Outstanding Solo
Performance".
She's worked with Spike Lee in "Inside Man" and played Ruby in "She Hate Me". She played opposite Roger Rees in "Going Under", directed by Eric Werthman, and appeared in "Getting In" under the name "Angela Jones", directed by Doug Liman.
She was awarded the Francis Ann and Elaine Award for Women in Comedy for writing and performing for Plum TV's comedy sketch show, "Live in The East", hosted by Christie Brinkley.
Current projects include completing her film "Tbb4", developing a new series "The Land", and producing an experimental immersive drama.
