After movies like The Fall Guy and Furiosa made their home debuts mere weeks after their theatrical premieres, Jeff Nichols’ period drama The Bikeriders joins the pack as it revs up to hit digital outlets tomorrow. The film garnered much praise from critics, including our own Chris Bumbray, who said in his review, “This is the rare film where I almost hope there’s a more extended version, as I found some of the side characters fascinating and worth further development. […] It’s rare I look at my watch during a movie hoping there’s more or it left, but that’s what happened to me here quite a bit, so take that as high praise.”
The press release from Universal reads,
“Loyalty, power, and brotherhood collide in Focus Features’ ‘must-see summer movie’ (USA Today) that critics are calling ‘Goodfellas on Harley-Davidsons’ (Indiewire). The Bikeriders is available for the first...

Well, it was 2004 when Godzilla, our beloved colossus, marked his 50th thunderous anniversary with an epic, monumental clash in Godzilla: Final Wars. For those who do not know, Ishirō Honda helmed and co-wrote the 1954 Toho release of Godzilla, the first flick in the franchise.
Despite the box office stumble of Godzilla: Final Wars, today we stand almost two decades later, celebrating the film’s transformation into a cult phenomenon. And as a seasoned Kaiju enthusiast who has followed Godzilla’s career from the depths of the Pacific to the climactic showdowns on the big screen, it’s informative to delve into the little-known stories behind the making of such a fan-favorite film.

Stars: Larisa Oleynik, Erin Daniels, Heather Tom, Christine Donlon, Christian Oliver, Jasmine Dustin, Jonathan Murphy, Don Frye, Eric Tiede, Whitney Davis | Written by Jonathan Murphy | Directed by John Woodruff
Fifteen years ago, two teenage girls were murdered at Merrymaker Campgrounds. The case was filed as an animal attack, the camp was condemned, and the killer never found. Now, years later Poppy (Christine Donlon) and Anita Bishop (Larisa Oleynik) get set to re-open their parent’s camp. And they even invite Roland Baumgarner (Christian Oliver), the novelist who made his name by penning a bestseller about the case, to the opening.
Billed as yet another Bigfoot/sasquatch movie, Animal Among Us is actually anything but. It is in fact a melding of genre tropes: monster movie, cabin in the woods film, survival horror, dramatic thriller, all rolled into one – sadly – dull genre film saved only by a surprising performance by former Alex Mack Larisa Oleynik.

Premiering six years ago, almost to this date, at the Sundance Film Festival, Bellflower emerged as one of the most impressive indie features of 2011. A rough-and-tumble, low-budget production that was refreshingly difficult to categorize, we’ve been waiting to see what director-writer-producer-editor-star Evan Glodell would be taking on next. Arriving this summer is the latest film from Glodell’s Coatwolf Productions, Chuck Hank and the San Diego Twins, and now the first teaser has arrived.
While it’s not directed by Glodell — that duty goes to Jonathan Keevil (composer, editor, and producer on Bellflower) — he stars in the film, which takes a more genre approach than their last project. Upping their scale, it’s set in a futuristic world where our titular heroes must save the planet. With impressive visuals, mixing very different styles, we’re looking forward to this videogame-influenced adventure.
Check out the trailer below for the film also starring Tyler Dawson,...

Six years after making their mark at Sundance with “Bellflower,” the Coatwolf Productions team is back with the video game–inspired “Chuck Hank and the San Diego Twins.” Written/directed by Jonathan Keevil and starring Evan Glodell (who wrote, directed and starred in “Bellflower”), the film looks even more manic than its predecessor. Watch the film’s first trailer below.

Should you have trouble discerning the plot, here’s the synopsis: “The Syndicate, an evil gang bent on world domination, summons a secret weapon from the heavens and breaks the long-standing truce with the San Diego family by kidnapping their sister and cutting off the town’s supply of Tatsui Power-Up Drinks. Now Chuck Hank and the San Diego Twins must decide whether to fight — risking their lives, family and the future of Flat Earth — or...

"What do we do?" "We go in, and we kill everyone." Coatwolf Productions has unveiled a teaser trailer for their new film, titled Chuck Hank and the San Diego Twins. This low-budget Mad Max-esque action thriller is inspired by side-scrolling video games and 1980's action. Coatwolf founder Evan Glodell plays Chuck Hank, who teams up with the San Diego Twins (Jonathan Keevil & Tyler Dawson) to stop The Syndicate, an evil gang bent on world domination that summons a secret weapon from the heavens. The cast includes David Arquette, Troian Bellisario, Michael Pare, Olivia Taylor Dudley, along with Mma fighters Don Frye and Josh Barnett. This looks stylish and crazy fun, it might actually be worth catching. Here's the teaser trailer for Jonathan Keevil's Chuck Hank and the San Diego Twins, from YouTube: A turf war has been raging in Oldtown for generations. On one side, The Syndicate - an evil gang of crank-head misfits,...

Ironically, the shorter the fight due to a knockout, the greater the value for ticket money when it comes to Ufc knockouts.
It’s pretty amazing to watch a fight conclude after a few short seconds.
The Ultimate Fighting Championships have seen some of the ugliest and fastest knockouts. While some are slow and painful to watch, others have been swift and devastating, so sudden that the match only lasts a few minutes.
For most spectators, the faster a knockout happens, the more thrilling the match is. Ufc events happen every so often, so the record for the fastest knockout is hardly held for long.
Fighters get to redeem themselves when they lose in the shortest bouts while the winners set new records.
The fastest knockouts have not been consistently happening each year. Some date back almost seven years ago. Here’s a list of some of the greatest knockouts in the history of Ufc.

**Massive spoilers for every Godzilla movie, with the exception of the 2014 reboot, and Mothra follow**
August 6th and 9th, 1945 forever changed the course of history. When the first nuclear bombs were dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, World War II ended, but a new fear was born that dominated the thoughts of all men, women, and children for decades to come. The Cold War, atomic bomb testing, a cartoon turtle telling children to “duck and cover”, and this new technology that had the actual potential to literally end the world changed the perception of what was scary. Art reflects life, so cinema began to capitalize on these fears. Gone were the days of creepy castles, cobwebs, bats, vampires, werewolves, and the other iconic images that ruled genre cinema in film’s earliest decades. Science fiction was larger than ever and giant ants, giant octopi, terror from beyond the stars, and...
