Cruz was born and raised in Stockton, California. At age 17, she graduated from Brookside Christian High School in the top five of her class, accepting three scholarships among her other accolades. She attended Dominican University of California in San Rafael--a Catholic private college--where she studied print journalism and transferred to another school a year later. In October 2003, she broke into the adult entertainment industry in San Francisco, just a month shy of turning 19. By March 2004, she finally found her way to Los Angeles.
She met husband Steve Crest in June 2004. They married in January 2005 at the Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas for fans and the industry to witness. They divorced less than two years later, however.
Outside of the industry she worked in for 13 years, she has worked on independent film projects as well as appeared in various TV shows, music videos, and Women's Extreme Wrestling (WEW) on. After training with one of Laila Ali's (Muhammad Ali's daughter) former trainers, she briefly boxed between 2004 and 2005. A skilled stage fighter, she has also done pro-style wrestling in addition to competitive grappling. For eight years between 2013 and 2021, she hosted her own talk radio show on SiriusXM. In addition, she has also hosted and produced three different podcasts, two of which were about pro wrestling.
In 2016, Cruz retired from the adult entertainment industry. A seasoned cosplayer who builds her own props and costumes, she has cosplayed and attended conventions all over the country for nearly two decades. She is also a gamer, who streamed on Twitch full time for 2 years, using her real name. In 2021, she returned to school, becoming a full-time student, and is studying Psychology.
