The manic, filter-free, all-id persona Seann William Scott embodied in the roles that first brought him to attention nearly a couple decades ago — notably teen comedies “Road Trip,” “Dude, Where’s My Car?” and the “American Pie” series — did something inspired with a familiar type. Sean William Scott as a serial killer. As soon as I read that I knew Bloodline was a movie and role that I never knew I wanted to see but now had to. I was very much looking forward to see if it worked out at all like I hoped it would.

Seann William Scott (American Pie) stars in a new horror thriller called Bloodline. He plays a character named Evan, a Dexter-like character who goes out and kills people who abuse and harm kids. It’s his way of justice.

It’s explained that Evan “values family above all else, and anyone who gets between him, his wife, and newborn son learns that the hard way. But when it comes to violent tendencies, it's his only release.” It looks like an intense and brutal film and it’s cool to see Scott in a new movie.

Bloodline is the directorial debut of Henry Jacobson, and the cast also includes Mariela Garriga, Dale Dickey, Kevin Carroll, Christie Herring, Leith M. Burke, Nick Boraine, and Dusty Sorg. Looks intensely brutal, as expected, usual Blumhouse thrills. See below.

Film Sales Company head Andrew Herwitz has ventured into new terrain and will launch sales in Cannes on a trio of genre films produced by Jason Blum’s prolific Blumhouse label.

New York-based Herwitz will commence talks with international buyers on Bloodline, a thriller starring Seann William Scott and Dale Dickey about a high school counsellor who takes his job of protecting his students a little too seriously.
