Anchor Bay Entertainment will release all 3 seasons of the one-hour Canadian dramatic TV series, "Durham County" in a special 7 DVD pack, February 21, 2012.

The series is produced by Back Alley Film Productions Ltd. and Muse Entertainment Enterprises, starring actor Hugh Dillon ("Flashpoint") as a police detective, "...who finds that moving back home comes with trouble and danger..." :

"...'Mike Sweeney' (Dillon), a homicide detective from Toronto moves his family to suburban 'Durham County' to start over after his partner is killed and his wife 'Audrey' (Hélène Joy) is diagnosed with breast cancer. According to Helene Joy, Durham County, a TV series she stars in, is a slap in the face for those who believe that life is a fairy tale.

For this Canadian actress, the show's dark tone isn't exaggerated. In fact, this gives a "bleak theme to Durham County", something that she feels necessary. After all, even if our life more or less borders on a fairytale, Durham County puts us in front of truths about our society in her opinion.

The trailer of the procedural drama Durham County's third season is already online. The show will premiere on October 25 at 10 Pm on HBO Canada.

In this season, Mike Sweeney (Hugh Dillon) is now the Superintendent of the Durham police precinct. His life seems to be going well: his wife, Audrey (Hélène Joy), is expecting a baby and his elder daughter, Sadie (Laurence Leboeuf), is about to graduate from the police academy. Speaking about his job, Mike is investigating a gruesome murder that occurred on the 401 Highway corridor.

Mike is leading his investigation with Det. Ivan Surjic (Michael Nardone), a man of Eastern European heritage with a dark secret. In fact, Ivan's wife, Katya, has disappeared. At the same time, Sadie’s role in an undercover operation and her contact with a known drug dealer has put her in grave danger. Meanwhile,a sudden tragedy occurs that may tear Mike’s family apart forever.

The premium cable network, HBO Canada, announced that Durham County's third and final season will premiere on October 25 at 10 Pm. Also announced were the details of the script in this season.

Synopsis:

The film talks about an actor (David Savard) who is struggling to make a name for himself. After he had grown a beard, his career becomes sucessful and many women are attracted by him. However, this actor's long-time girlfriend (Isabelle Blais) can hardly endure his beard. Moreover, she'll give him an ultimatum: he either chooses her or his beard (i.e. success).

The film also star Louis-José Houde, Ricardo Trogi, David Boutin, Pierre-François Legendre, Bénédicte Décary, Hélène Bourgeois Leclerc, Brigitte Pogonat, Alexis Martin, Benoît Gouin and Claude Larouche.

The producers are Nicole Robert and Martine Beauchemin.

This afternoon, the nominees for the Jutra Award, Quebec's own Oscars, were announced. Unlike last year, there are two new things that we should expect to see. The first one being that the jury will be formed by 18 people. Secondly, all members of the jury have seen the films that are nominated. Besides, the host of evening will be Patrice L'Écuyer and the ceremony will take place at La Tohu on March 28. Also note that the Jutra Award will be broadcasted live on Radio-Canada.
