Annette Baumeister

Annette Baumeister is an award-winning German director, known for gripping yet sensitive documentary films. In 2021 she won the "The Price of the Deutsche Fernsehakademie" and the "Geißendörfer Price", Best Documentary Series FOR "Colonia Dignidad - Inside a German Cult" (Netflix). Films like "Frank Sinatra - The Voice of America", "Stasi at School - The Secret Service of the DDR" and "The American Führer" caused a stir in the documentary industry and were nominated for the Prize Japan or European Film award. She loves people and their stories AND likes to take a fresh perspective on seemingly well-known stories. The result on screen is always stunning. She lives in Los Angeles and Munich.
