Romance author Emily Henry now has five of her most recent novels set to be adapted for the big and small screens. Henry went on a rom-com writing spree that began with Beach Read, which came out in the summer of 2020. She has published a book a year since then, with People We Meet on Vacation coming out in 2021, Book Lovers arriving in 2022, Happy Place released in 2023 and Funny Story hitting shelves this year.

Three of Henry’s books received adaptation optioning deals for films, with two of them attaching directors. Starting in 2022, multiple studios made the decision to adapt various Emily Henry books into movies. The Writers’ and Actors’ strikes likely delayed any moves in casting, but a fourth novel has just been optioned by Jennifer Lopez’s production company for a television series adaptation at Netflix.

New additions to the cast of the upcoming adaptation of Emily Henry‘s best-seller have been announced.

Netflix announced Wednesday that Sarah Catherine Hook, Jameela Jamil, Lucien Laviscount, and Lukas Gage are set to join Tom Blyth and Emily Bader in the feature adaptation of Henry’s People We Meet on Vacation.

Their roles in the film are to be announced.

News of the casting comes amid Blyth and Bader being announced as the romantic leads. My Lady Jane star Bader will portray Poppy while The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes star Blyth will star as Alex. The story will follow the longtime best friends who took one week of every summer vacation together. However, things changed when they stopped speaking for two years. When Poppy reaches out and convinces Alex to take one more vacation together, she sees it as her time to fix their broken relationship.

Last month, we were so excited to learn that Netflix would be bringing not one but two of Emily Henry's most popular bestsellers to life. While Jennifer Lopez will be producing a series adaptation of Happy Place for Netflix, the streamer will also be adapting People We Meet on Vacation as a movie. The film's leading stars have already been set, and now we're learning who's joined the cast.

In Emily in Paris season 4 part 1, Alfie kind of got the short end of the stick. Even though he was angry and hurt after what went down at Gabriel and Camille's almost-wedding, he still loved Emily and wanted to repair their relationship. Unfortunately, his attempts to rekindle their relationship were no match for Emily's feelings for Gabriel. Let's just say Alfie will never forget that masquerade party.

Going into season 4 part 2, questions about how Alfie would factor into the story moving forward loomed large, mostly because Emily had chosen Gabriel. Without informing Alfie of her decision, Emily officially decided to go all-in on a relationship with Gabriel. Ahead of the release of Emily in Paris Part 2 of Season 4 on Netflix Sept. 12, the cast and creators of the tentpole series gathered at The Space Cinema Moderno in Rome, Italy for a red carpet at Piazza della Repubblica and a premiere special screening.

Lily Collins, who stars as the titular character, dazzled in a golden dress with a shimmery stack of bangle bracelets on her right wrist. Ashley Park, who plays singer Mindy Chen, wore a sleek black dress with sparkly tassels and long black gloves to match. Lucas Bravo, who plays one of Emily’s love interests Gabriel, appeared as did costar Camille Razat, who plays that love triangle’s third person Camille. Razat did not attend the Part 1 premiere in August. Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, Paul Forman, William Abadie, Arnaud Binard, Kevin Dias and newcomer Eugenio Franceschini — who plays Marcello — walked the carpet as well.

As previously reported, Season 5 of “The Drew Barrymore Show” kicks off on Monday, September 9.

Zac Efron is back in the spotlight after his scary accident.

The 36-year-old The Iron Claw actor stepped out for the amfAR Gala held during the 2024 Venice Film Festival on Sunday evening (September 1) held at the Hangar Nicelli in Venice, Italy.

For the event, Zac sported a black suit, black, T-shirt and sunglasses.

The gala marks Zac‘s first public appearance since he was hospitalized last month after a swimming pool incident in Ibiza. Zac reportedly hit the bottom of the swimming pool at the villa and ingested water, which caused him to be “momentarily dazed” and was taken to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. We’re glad to see Zac‘s doing better!

Ring in September with Netflix’s latest offerings!

Emily Cooper is giving herself a soft reboot, ditching the drama in Paris for a fresh start in Rome — a move that comes complete with a hot new love interest.

Netflix has released a trailer for the second half of Emily in Paris‘ fourth season (premiering Thursday, Sept. 12), which sends Lily Collins’ titular strategist to Italy for five more episodes of fashionable, farcical fun.

Netflix has dropped the trailer for Part 2 of Emily in Paris Season 4, and of course, all roads lead to Rome at the end of the latest installment.

“Sometimes all you need is a new perspective,” the clip teases in between shots of Emily (Lily Collins) with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Camille (Camille Razat) in snowy France and Sylvie’s (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) new hire Genevieve (Thalia Besson), another American employee joining Savoir.

Tension brews between Emily and Gabriel as Camille still hasn’t shared that she isn’t pregnant with her ex-fiancé. Meanwhile, Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) might turn into more than just a business asset for Emily as he first comes to Paris “exploring some business opportunities.

Jvma hopes to acquire whoever Marcello works for, and Sylvie is keen to nab a meeting with him via Emily — which involves her going to Rome.

Emily in Paris will become Emily in Rome for part two of the Netflix show’s fourth season. The streamer released the second installment’s trailer Monday, which sees Lily Collins’ Emily packing her bags for another European adventure.
