While working for the Canadian Embassy in Hungary, he acted in a play at the RS9 Theatre in Budapest in which all the other actors spoke Hungarian and his parts were in English.
As part of his formal training as a performer, he took dance classes in
Santa Monica, studying tap and ballet.
Also a musician, he wrote six of the music cues for his film The House and often contributes soundtrack material to his projects.
