Julia was born and raised in the Midwest before living in East Africa. Then it was onto New York City, where she worked as an actress on numerous New York-based television series. Now living in Austin, Texas, she continues to work as an actress, writer and director. Julia's debut as a filmmaker was via the short film, "Chasing Grace", which premiered at SXSW in 2017. She then created a family TV, based on her next short film, which is in development with a notable network. Other writing credits include "Modern Missionary", which won "Best Play" at the NYC Fringe Festival, a podcast in development with WME Podcast division and several feature scripts in development. As an Actress, some of her credits include "Nashville", "Law & Order", "SVU", "30Rock", "Lipstick Jungle", AND "CSI, NY". She has been the Chief Creative Officer for the African Children's Choir for several decades, creating their touring and theatrical shows.
