We all know overbearing mothers, whether they are our own or our friends’. (“Bring a sweater, it could be cold out,” “You look so thin! You need to eat more!,” “Sooo, let’s talk boys”). Insert Helicopter Mom, in which Nia Vardalos plays a similar-minded suffocating mother.
The film, directed by Salomé Breziner and written by Duke Tran, stars Vardalos as Maggie and Jason Dolley as her college-bound son, Lloyd. Maggie is smothering and doesn’t want to see her son go. “What’s left after this? Prom, then graduation, then you’re gone!” Maggie exclaims in the trailer. “I’m going to college.

The Disney Channel is planning a month of incredibly entertaining programming this holiday season, but the biggest thing to come out of the network’s plans is an extra special holiday crossover between two big hits: Good Luck Charlie and Jessie. You don’t need to worry about how these two series will merge – the how is never that important, but I’ll still explain it later – because you’re going to be too wrapped up in the hilarious antics that will no doubt get under way as these two worlds collide. And what I have to say about the special is mostly just a tease; I have plenty of questions waiting to be answered.

It’s time to wish a good night, good luck, and good bye to popular Disney property, Good Luck Charlie. They say all good things must come to an end and though I don’t know who they are, they are right.
It has been a superb four season run for the hit, Good Luck Charlie. The series and its stars have 100 episodes to their credit as well as a hit TV movie. Going out on a high note is not bad at all.
The Disney Channel gave the official axe with Deadline reporting on the exclusive. Production on the series will very soon, but though the cast will go their separate ways, you fans out there still get to see the new and now quite final episodes when they roll out and run through early 2014.

We were excited to learn that Archie would finally be making its way to the big screen in a live-action movie, but had our doubts that gay Riverdale teen Kevin Keller would be included. Well, details of the movie have been released, and there’s good news:
“It’s Archie’s coming-of-age story. Hopefully, it will be the “Archie” movie people have been anticipating for 70-plus years. And here’s a tidbit: Expect to see fan-favorites Cheryl Blossom and Kevin Keller in it, in very prominent ways.”
Of course, the bad news is … it won’t be Archie Vs. Zombies, but they can save that for the sequel.
The big dilemma now is, who should play Kevin? While you mull it over, I have a few suggestions…
Lets see … blond … freshly scrubbed … has experience playing gay … The first person I thought of was 22-year-old Chandler Massey. Plus … he knows how...

One new Disney Channel series has already come a long way, baby.
The network's surprise hit, "Good Luck Charlie" has been renewed for a second season, but the show about a new arrival has its own follow-up set for the future. The series will also be adapted for a TV movie.
The show and the upcoming movie focus on the Duncan family, a close-knit clan who find their already hectic lives just a little more unpredictable with the addition of new baby girl Charlie (Mia Talerico). Kids Teddy, P.J. and Gabe (Bridgit Mendler, Jason Dolley, Bradley Steven Perry) are given more responsibility as parents Amy and Bob (Leigh-Allyn Baker and Eric Allan Kramer) need all the help they can get to bring life back to normal.

Good Luck Charlie (TV) only kicked off three months ago, but the Disney Channel has already ordered both a second season of the hit family-friendly sitcom and a holiday-themed television movie. It's easy to see why Disney Channel is moving so fast to lock in Good Luck Charlie. The Miley Cyrus juggernaut Hannah Montana (TV) is fast nearing its conclusion and the ratings for Good Luck Charlie have been through the roof, with the series ranking #1 with tweens 9-14 during the second quarter of 2010. As for that holiday-themed movie, it's in development now and will feature the show's entire cast, including Bridgit Mendler, Jason Dolley, Bradley Steven Perry, Mia Talerico, Leigh-Allyn Baker, and Eric Allen Kramer.

If you’re a Disney Channel fan or you remember the 2004 sitcom “Complete Savages,” you probably recognize Jason Dolley.
The kid’s resume already includes a series regular role on “Cory in the House,” several TV movies and a gig on Disney’s next comedy, “Good Luck Charlie,” which premieres Sunday (April 4).
After fighting a swarm of squealing tween girls outside Mel’s Diner on Sunset this week — okay, there were only four or five of ‘em and I had no problem boxing them out — I met up with Jason for a milkshake and some getting-to-know-you time…
“Good Luck Charlie” premieres Sunday, April 4 at 8:30 p.m. Est on The Disney Channel

Remember the Tgif sitcoms of yesteryear? Jason Dolley does, and he's not quite sure what happened to them.
"They were so huge, especially when my parents were growing up — everyone watched TV together," he tells TVGuide.com of such classic Friday-night family comedies as The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family. "That whole Tgif concept, for whatever reason, is gone now. But I think we will sort of fill that void."
Dolley stars in the new Disney comedy Good Luck Charlie (premieres Sunday at 8:30/7:30c), a throwback to those old-school family sitcoms that appealed to multiple generations (think Step by Step and Family Matters). The series focuses on the Duncan siblings, P.J. (Dolley), Teddy (Bridgit Mendler) and Gabe (Bradley Steven Perry), who must care for their baby sister Charlotte ("Charlie") when their ...
