David Calhoun(VI)
- Actor
Stephen "David" Calhoun was born in Atlanta, GA in December of 1963.
He was raised in neighboring Douglasville, GA where he attended school through graduation at Douglas County High School (where he was
initially bitten by the acting bug on a dare). He then attended West Georgia College (now known as the University of West Georgia) for two
years where he studied Mass Communications. David also joined the Kappa Sigma fraternity while at WGC.
In 1983, David then entered the military joining the US Army. During his time in the Army he continued his studies in Mass Communications at the University of Hawaii.
David suffered a severe back injury that left him in a wheelchair for 15 months. It was not until after extensive rehabilitation that David was able to begin to pursue acting again.
2011 was a banner year for David with a number of roles in independent films such as "life.less" and the hit MTV series "Teen Wolf". 2018 saw David in such shows as the CW network re-boot of "Dynasty" as well as the "The Vampire Diaries"/"The Originals" spin-off series "Legacies".
In 2021 and 2022, David had a recurring role in the final season of the CW show "Black Lightning" as well as an appearance in "The Ms. Pat Show", respectively.
David continues to reside in the Atlanta-area in the northwestern suburb of Dallas, GA.
David's favorite quote is from the cult classic "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension": "Wherever you go-- there you are."
