Rihanna is set to receive an award for her commitment to charity.
The 29-year-old singer has been named Harvard University's 2017 Humanitarian of the Year, and will be presented with the Peter J. Gomes Humanitarian Award during a ceremony on campus next week.

Boutros Boutros-Ghali, the former secretary-general of the United Nations, died Tuesday. He was 93. Egypt’s state news agency said the U.N. chief died in a Cairo hospital, where he was reportedly admitted for a broken pelvis. BBC reported that Rafael Ramirez, Venezuelan ambassador to the U.N. and current president of the U.N. Security Council, confirmed Boutros-Ghali’s death. Hellllluuurrr, Happy Endings fans! As per usual, last night’s hysterical new episode was chock full of we-dare-you-to-keep-up-with-us pop-culture references. (Ali, Entourage, Rear Window, and of course, The Wire, were just some of the inspired gems mentioned.) But, there was a nice little added bonus to all of the whip-fast He madness: Guest appearances by pop-culture gems Michael McKean, Ed Begley Jr., and Megan Mullally, who was making her second appearance on the show.
