A co-owner of one of Canada's largest production companies, Indigenous-owned Eagle Vision, Emmy Award winner Kyle Irving O.M. has produced more than 300 hours of film and television content over the last 22 years.
Some Executive Producer TV credits include 4 seasons of the scripted series Burden of Truth for CBC, The CW, Hulu and Universal UK; the scripted series Skymed for Paramount+, CBC and CBS Studios; the iconic international series Ice Road Truckers for History Channel and seen in 80+ countries; APTN's comedy series DJBB; and 3 seasons of the acclaimed doc series 7th Gen also for APTN.
His feature film credits include: Executive Producer of the Emmy winning Feature doc Buffy Sainte-Maire: Carry It On which also played on TIFF 2022's opening night and on PBS's American Masters; Co-Executive Producer of Bones of Crows, Executive Producer with Taika Waititi on Night Raiders; Executive Producer on Orphan: First Kill; Producer of Diaspora from two-time TIFF winner Deco Dawson; Producer on Madison Thomas's feature film Finality of Dusk; and Producer of the much anticipated Feature Deaner '89. Other feature film producing credits include: Oscar winner and nominee for Best Picture Capote; the seminal and timeless We Were Children; Blue State; Walk All Over Me; Reasonable Doubt and Lovesick.
Irving's commitment to innovation was evident in producing Snapchat's first original Canadian series, Reclaim(ed). He and his partners at Eagle Vision were awarded the Innovative Producer of the Year award at the 2021 Banff World Media Festival.
Collectively, Irving's productions have been nominated for 44 CSA's with 13 wins, 5 Oscar's with a win, 5 BAFTA's with a win, 5 Independent Spirit Awards with 3 wins, a Golden Globe win, an Emmy win, 5 Shorty Awards with 2 wins and the Cinequest audience choice award.
He has worked in the Indigenous community with his business partner Lisa Meeches for more than 20 years and has a strong focus on championing under-represented talent development. He's mentored and supported numerous emerging writers, directors, producers and crew. He was from 2010-11 the National Events Producer of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and in 2018-19 the Creative Director and Executive Producer of the #sacredMMIWG campaign and National Closing Event for the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. He is also a strong supporter financially and in-kind to independent films, emerging talent, talent programs and scholarships.
Irving was named to the Order of Manitoba in 2021, Manitoba's highest honor.
