Started working on his own TV programs on Cable Access at the age of 12. Moved onto DV filmmaking at 15.

Collects novels, mostly Cheesy Teen Horror Novels from the early 90's such as the Babysitter Nightmares, Nightmare Hall, and early R.L. Stine.

In 2023, Henrique Couto as "Dr. Freak", was a nominee in the "The Official Horror Host Hall of Fame".

Named after his Grandfather, who immigrated from Portugal
