- Michel Butor was born on September 14, 1926 in Mons-en-Baroeul, France. He was a writer and actor, known for La modification (1970), L'enchantement (1974) and Trompe-l'oeil (1982). He was married to Marie-Josèph Mas. He died on August 24, 2016 in Contamine-sur-Arve, Haute-Savoie, France.
