Travelers season 3 brought the story of future operatives trying to avoid a cataclysm to an unexpected conclusion — what does it all mean?
Warning: This article contains major spoilers for the entirety of Travelers season 3!
Travelers season 3 played a dangerous game in its finale by introducing a reset that could either pay off with an innovative re-imagining of the journey to the “Twenty-First” or alienate viewers by undoing all of the relationships, consequences, and tragic deaths of the past few years. But perhaps a reset was necessary. Glimmers of doubt had already begun to appear as consciousnesses continued to be sent from the dark future; could there be any hope that the Director would ever succeed in its mission to avoid humanity’s extinction?
Whether you agree with the choice that the writers or the characters themselves made, there are plenty of questions surrounding what really happened in...

Chicago – It was Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at 10:15 p.m. Leaving Navy Pier IMAX, I was driving north on Lake Shore Drive – a constantly busy, multi-lane highway that hugs the east of Chicago and separates it from water.
What I saw next with fellow staff critic Patrick McDonald might have been normal for 3 a.m., but discussing Christopher Nolan’s new sci-fi “Interstellar” and being the only one on the road in either direction felt otherworldly.
Rating: 4.0/5.0
While certainly unusual, it speaks to my state of mind and how the film hit me with a ton of bricks. It felt epic and simultaneously intimate – being one of only a few dozen critics comfortably spread out among 440 seats – and could have only been experienced correctly on a 6-story, 60-by-80-foot screen. Don’t make the mistake of seeing this film in anything but IMAX.

'Interstellar' movie review: 'Ravishing, but overextended mind-bender' (photo: Anne Hathaway in 'Interstellar') There are many intriguing questions raised in director Christopher Nolan's ravishing, overextended mind-bender Interstellar. One of the first: has a theoretical physicist ever received an executive producer credit on a nine-figure, studio movie? Probably not, but if 74-year old Caltech professor Kip Thorne were to find any director willing to tap his intellect for an above-the-line credit, it would be Nolan. His movies are puzzle boxes of plot and theme that have become grander in scope as they've become more opaque in effect. At this point, every Nolan film contains the moment when we ask ourselves if the director himself has completely thought everything through. That's certainly true of Interstellar, where the London-born director and his screenwriter brother Jonathan utilize Thorne's theories on relativity and gravitational physics to bandy about questions as deep...

You never know who’s going to turn up in a Syfy Original Movie. They’re often known to feature stars from the Syfy galaxy, so seeing that Erica Cerra, Jo Lupo on Eureka, is in this Saturday’s Space Twister is welcome, but not a big surprise. But Assistant Director Skinner from The X-Files? That was a surprise, a welcome surprise. Happily for us, Erica Cerra and Mitch Pileggi took time out of their day on Wednesday to talk with the press about the movie, and about working in sci-fi.
SciFiVision.com asked them how they first became involved in the production:
Mitch Pileggi: I was actually up there working on Supernatural and I had just finished – I think it was Supernatural, and I had just finished, I think on a Friday and then I got a call and they said that – I guess Greg Grunberg was originally...

Air Date/Time: April 28 at 9/8c
Network: Syfy
Writer: David Ray
Director: Sheldon Wilson
Cast: David Sutcliffe, Leah Cairns, Mitch Pileggi, Erica Cerra, Luisa D’Oliveira, Brett Dier
Synopsis:
Erica Cerra, star of Syfy’s hit series “Eureka” plays a scientist in “Space Twister.” Other-worldly storms — similar to the ones comprising the eye of Jupiter – begin destroying the planet, disintegrating everything they touch. A high school student’s science project becomes the mysterious key to ending the catastrophic storms and saving civilization. A production of Cinetel, “Space Twister” co-stars Mitch Pileggi (“Sons of Anarchy”).
When I started watching this movie, I had settled in for a familiar Syfy Original Movie so-bad-it’s-good fun watch, and was shocked by what I saw. This one is really good! Yes, seriously! There is actual science involvement! I felt compelled to pause and look up more than one term on the...

We left off with Battlestar Galactica having just jumped back to Earth. If you missed the first part, you can read it here. It's worth noting that it's "our Earth" - not the Earth they jumped to earlier in the season. Twelve hours have passed and the scene opens to a beautiful view of Earth's oceans with some light, fluffy clouds overhead and the fleet ships starting to jump in. A transport leaves for the surface where they see a lush, green planet... Admiral Adama, Lieutenant Hoshi, Saul Tigh, Dr. Cottle, and Gaius Baltar are on the planet. They are scouting out the local inhabitants. Baltar passes a pair of binoculars to the Adama and says, "Well, there you have it, Admiral, the most advanced civilization we could locate on this planet. I can't see them talking to each other so either they communicate in a different way, or they're preverbal.

The two-hour series finale of Battlestar Galactica starts off with a magnificient nighttime view of Caprica City. It's too bad the upcoming prequel series Caprica takes place fifty years in the past; I would enjoy seeing what the city was like prior to its destruction by the Cylons. At any rate, this is certainly a bittersweet moment in science fiction history. We don't want it to end, but we certainly want to see the ending... The episode starts off with William Adama and Saul Tigh in a bar. Saul is definitely smashed and tries to convince Adama to have a lap dance from one of the dancers, which he turns down. They talk about the decommissioning ceremony that is planned for Galactica. He finally gives in with a toast, "to retirement!" Of course, he has no idea that his decision to participate is what ultimately saves his life and that...
