On September 10, over 300 guests gathered at the Brooklyn Museum, where American Express and its Platinum Card Creative Director, Pharrell Williams, hosted the Yellow Ball in support of arts education nationwide.

The evening was named and inspired by Pharrell, who explained the evening’s yellow theme to attendees: “Yellow is the color of creativity and curiosity. It serves as a representation of the bright light we are shining on the need for arts education, and its incredible power to paint a brighter future for us all.”

All ticket sales benefitted Young Audiences Arts for Learning, the nation’s largest arts-in-education network, whose work strives to inspire young people and expand their learning through the arts. American Express also gifted $1 Million to the organization.

It’s called Caught, and it’s a next-generation take on R. Kelly’s Trapped In The Closet that is averaging more than 12 million views per episode.

In the first episode of Caught, DeStorm gets caught cheating when his girlfriend unexpected shows up at his place on a Tuesday. Across the next 12 installments (and counting), an intricate plot has developed, with guest stars showing up to portray side characters and contribute their own voices to the series’ “hip hopera” format. Performers who have appeared in Caught so far include several of DeStorm’s fellow online video stars, such as King Bach and Klarity, as well as Hollywood notables like New Girl’s Lamorne Morris.

Filmmaker Rob Bralver (best known for his editing work on “Gore Vidal: The United States of America”) turns his attentions to a different side of filmmaking with his feature narrative debut, “Espionage Tonight,” bound for a world premiere at Dances With Films next week. The latest horror flick filled with immense badassery to be added to Shudder's library is the fifth sequel in the Phantasm franchise, Phantasm: Ravager. Phantasm: Ravager Comes to Shudder: "Joining Shudder is Phantasm: Ravager- the final installment of the long-running Phantasm series.

In addition to Phantasm: Ravager, streaming exclusively on Shudder is the remaster of Don Coscarelli’s 1979 classic Phantasm, as well as its sequels Phantasm III and Phantasm IV.

Phantasm was recently restored by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Coscarelli, and given both a new 4K remaster and a 5.1 surround sound mix, which will be the version presented exclusively on Shudder."

Chicago – The largely improvised “10 Items or Less” returns for a third trip to the grocery store on Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 on TBS with what looks like another hit-and-miss season of occasionally inspired humor surrounded by generally boring characters in an overall mediocre show.

More “Sorta Funny” than the one-time TBS slogan of “Very Funny,” “10 Items or Less” is a reasonable diversion, a series that has more chuckles than some of the lackluster comedies on television this season but never delivers on the potential displayed by its talented star, John Lehr. Like an improvisational troupe with only one real star, every time that Lehr leaves the screen, the show falls apart.
