Derek Egede

Derek Egede (born December 2, 1999) is an American actor best known for his roles as Daniel in the short Those Who Shifted (2023)
and as Opponent in the film Caged (2023). Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Derek is the youngest of three and a first-generation actor to parents from Abuja, Nigeria. Growing up in Tulsa, Derek explored many different creative endeavors first as a model, then musician, actor, and pro wrestler. Derek got his start working as a commercial model for popular brands such as, Forever 21, JUST Water', and 'Transformation Church.' Aged 20, while walking in a fashion runway show, he was given his first audition for a popular series on HBO. From there, Derek has been working relentlessly to perfect his craft. He considers movies such as City of God, Goodfellas, The Chronicles of Narnia, Project X, American Psycho, and Remember the Titans as his favorite films. Derek cites his biggest acting influences being Leonardo DiCaprio, Denzel Washington, Aubrey Graham (Drake), and Heath Ledger. Derek currently resides in Oklahoma.
