Britto completed his MBBS degree from BSMMC and later pursued postgraduate training in Medicine from Dhaka Medical College.

Britto has contributed articles to various newspapers and online news portals, including Prothom Alo, Jugantor, and Bangladesh Pratidin.

Britto played a pivotal role in organizing the Shahbag Movement in 2013, which is considered one of the largest mass movements in Bangladesh's history.

He has published two books titled "The Starry Night Cafe" and "Medical Journals of Tanzir Islam Britto".

Tanzir Islam Britto is migrating to the National Institute of Kidney Diseases & Urology from Chittagong Medical College Hospital due to personal reasons, indicating his continued interest in specializing in Nephrology.

Britto attended the Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai while in ongoing treatment, indicating a stint of international education.

He received specialized training in Endocrinology from the Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine, and Metabolic Disorders.

He wrote a research article, "A Systematic Review on Childhood Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma: An Overlooked Phenomenon in the Health and Research Sector of Bangladesh, " published in Cureus, part of Springer Nature.
