Patrick Nelson Barnes is an Emmy® award-winning film editor based in Los Angeles. After growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area making movies on Super 8 film and VHS, followed by a young stint in politics, art school, and a career in the documentary world, he became a sought-after editor in scripted feature films and television. He is best known for editing 'American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing' (Netflix, Dir. Floyd Russ) for which he was awarded an Emmy® award for Outstanding Editing: Documentary; a multi-film collaboration with director Amber Sealey on the critically-acclaimed features 'No Man of God', starring Elijah Wood and Emmy® Award winner Luke Kirby, 'No Light and No Land Anywhere' (Produced by Miranda July, 'Kajillionaire'), and the Sundance film 'How Does it Start'; for working with Sundance and SXSW award-winning writer-director Jim Cummings ('Thunder Road') on the feature film 'The Wolf of Snow Hollow'; and for working with Academy Award® winner Jamie Foxx on his directorial debut 'All-Star Weekend'.
