Karl-Heinz Förster
Karl-Heinz Förster was a professional soccer player during the 70s and
the 80s and played in the position of a defender in 272 matches for VfB
Stuttgart in German Bundesliga between 1977 and 1986 before
transferring to the French club Olympique Marseille, where he retired
from playing soccer in 1990. He also collected a total of 81
international caps for the German national team between 1978 and 1986.
Playing for the national team he won the European championship in 1980
and two silver medals at the World Cup in 1982 and 1986. He is still
actively engaged in soccer and is currently the player's adviser for
VfB Stuttgart.
