David was born in Toronto and is also a filmmaker and visual artist.
His acting debut was at 16 in the short play "Lorenzo And the Day
Pass", which he also wrote. It premiered at the 2003 Paprika Festival
at the Tarragon Theatre. He also attended the 2006 Director's Lab at
the Canadian Film Centre. He briefly attended
the Academy of Realist Art, where he studied classical Italian realism.
