- Actor
After a night of drinking at a New Year's party, 17-year-old Kevin
Tunell drove his car head-on into an 18-year-old girl's car, killing
her. Tunell's punishment was having to send the girl's family a check
for $1 every week from the 1982 court settlement through August 2000 --
18 years, the age of the victim. Tunell slowly pieced his life back
together. He went on to become a United States Marine, where he served
as a combat correspondent. Later, Tunell became the Director of Public
and Legislative Affairs, Yuma County, Arizona.
