The gang returns for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, and there are new faces, a new camp across the lake, and a new batch of songs to fuel the campy productions and teen antics. As syrupy as this strange, mid-budget excuse to string together music videos with Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers may be, it’s actually a pretty fun vehicle, and the kids are sure to love it.

Oddly, there is more meat to this run through than the original, and while the addition of a new camp rivalry may have much to do with that, I suspect it is mostly because returning to camp offer more to work with than simply going to camp.

Mitchie (Lovato) is bursting with excitement upon returning to Camp Rock, and the idea of jamming it up in the woodsy setting is all she can think about. Well, apart from seeing her friends again…...

The highly-anticipated release of “Camp Rock 2” is upon us and, according to its cast members, will be nothing short of a rockin’ hit.

MTV News recently caught up with a few of the “Final Jam” stars, with Matthew Finley telling, "I'm excited for everybody to see the dance numbers and performance numbers. I feel like we worked really hard. There were several genres of music in there. Listening to the soundtrack gets me amped and excited, so I'm ready to see it with action and with the movie."

Meanwhile, Jasmine Richards added, “There's a lot of cool, fun songs and dances.”

And one of the show's stars, Joe Jonas, revealed, “For us, that was really exciting because for the first one we stuck to about three different sets, and this time probably having 15, 16 different sets, for us, that was really exciting.”

Both Jonas Brothers and Justin Bieber are known for their signature hairstyles since the trio is famous for their curly mops and the "Baby" hitmaker is recognized for his signature swoop. With that in mind, MTV has asked some of the cast of "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" who they think has better hair.

When asked about the matter, Chloe Bridges remained indecisive. "Well, there are three Jonas Brothers versus one Bieber. So I don't know," the love interest of Nick Jonas in the TV movie said. "They might win, however, they both have good hair. It's hard to say. It's like vanilla versus chocolate - do you like the straight or the wavy? It's like ice cream flavors."

Kevin Jonas hasn't changed since getting married. The Jonas Brothers star tied the knot with long-term love Danielle Deleasa last December but his siblings insist he is still the same despite his newly married status.

Nick Jonas said, "He's still the same old guy. He just has a wife now, which is great! We like having her around." Kevin's "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" co-star Jasmine Richards also approves of Danielle, saying "Danielle often visits us, and she's such a sweetheart. They're always holding hands, and they're truly in love."

After introducing the new cast, "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" updates fans with what happen to the girls of the musical camp. In the latest Road to Camp Rock featurette, Jasmine Richards, Alyson Stoner, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle and Meaghan Jette Martin get their share of spotlight.

Richards said a bit about the first scene that they shot for the "Camp Rock" sequel, saying it actually felt real because everybody got to slip in the moment. Meanwhile, Stoner said about coming back, "Since the first movie, I've grown up and just coming back here seeing everyone has grown up is a true test of how strong our bond is that we developed in the first movie."

Perez de Tagle credited the TV movie for her fame, saying people recognize her as the lip gloss-obsessed Ella. Martin preferred to talk about her character Tess. "She starts out very sweet,...

The depicter of Mitchie Torres tells her friends not to give up despite the fact that some of the students and instructors prefer to go to a slick new camp across the lake.

"The recording process is really fun. You need to go to the studio and sing a lot of really great songs and have fun," Demi previously commented on the singing scene she filmed for the Disney Channel's Original Movie. "You get really excited for singing a song and wondering what it's gonna sound like when everybody's voice are on it."

The official music video for "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" song, "Can't Back Down", has popped out. Less than two-minute in length, the short video clip sees Demi Lovato's Mitchie Torres taking the lead in the cafeteria at Camp Rock as she and fellow campers break into singing and dancing.

"Can't Back Down" features the voices of 17-year-old Demi and some of her co-stars that include Alyson Stoner, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle and Jasmine Richards. The song which is a part of the "Camp Rock 2" soundtrack made its debut on Radio Disney on Sunday, April 25 at 4 P.M. Pt / 7 P.M. Et.

TORONTO -- Canadian producer Shaftesbury Films on Wednesday said it has sold Overruled, a half-hour teen comedy, to Family Channel in Canada.

A separate deal to sell the teen comedy to the Disney Channel in the U.S. is understood to be imminent.

Toronto-based Shaftesbury, which last month sold the Canadian drama The Listener to NBC for its primetime schedule, said production on 13 episodes of Overruled is now underway in Toronto, with a late-2008 delivery and airdate scheduled.

The teen comedy centers on a 15-year-old boy, played by Jacob Kraemer, who becomes a lawyer in his high school's teen court.

The comedy also stars Sally Taylor-Isherwood, Jasmine Richards and Nick Spencer.

The teen comedy was created by Jeff Biederman, Jeff King and Jeffrey Alan Schechter, and is executive produced by Shaftesbury's Christina Jennings and Scott Garvie.
