He is an Elvis fan. It was down to Gary Hudson and Kurt Rusell for Dick Clark's film on Elvis in 1979. Gary played "Sheriff Aaron Viva" the Elvis of the west with Bruce Campbell on "The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.".
Gary Hudson was a Guest Star at the 2012 Williamsburg Film Festival along with John Saxon, Terry Moore, Bob Boze Bell, Mickey Kuhn, Marlyn Mason, Richard Erdman, Tommy Nolan and Peggy Stewart.
