Tree Adams is an award-winning, internationally renowned composer. Over the past 25 years, he has amassed an enormous body of work in film, television, and video games. He has composed music for pretty much every genre imaginable- drama, action, comedy, horror, documentary such as Californication, Belushi, Legends, Walking Tall, Dawn of The Dead, NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Hawai'i, Lethal Weapon, Redemption Road, The 100, God & Country, Hard Luck, Swelter and Mob Rules. Adams' recent symphony, 'Elements 4' which he conducted in Budapest with a 75 piece orchestra, was recently awarded the Diamond Prize for composition and the special innovation award at the World Classical Music Competition as well as and the Grand Prize at the Debussy International classical Music competition. The recording was released on Six Degrees Records in partnership with Brian Eno's charity organization, Earth Percent, to raise money for climate action.
As a recording artist/touring musician, Tree spent a decade on the road as the lead singer/guitarist/primary songwriter of The Hatters. They toured relentlessly (often 300 days a year) releasing several albums on Atlantic records along the way. The Hatters had the opportunity to play alongside the likes of the Allman Brothers, Tribe Called Quest and Buddy Guy. Tree has stayed in enough cheap motels to have acquired the taste for that wretched coffee (when fortunate enough not to have to drive through the night or sleep on the side of the road.)
In recent years, Tree continues to perform with his band, Dagnasterpus (Six Degrees Records), playing primarily in Los Angeles, New Orleans and New York. As a producer/songwriter he has had the opportunity to work in the studio with artists such as New Orleans legend, Cyril Neville, the rapper, YG, African world music sensation, Bassekou Kouyate, Blues legend, Taj Mahal, New Orleans favorites, The Preservation Hall Jazz Band and members of the Meters. Tree works primarily out of his recording studio in Los Angeles where he has a great facility for live recording and mixing as well as several project workstation and a small support team.
