Ena O'Rourke studied drama at Huntingdon College and the Montgomery School of Fine Arts in Alabama. Cast in her first feature at age 20, Ena fell in love with the medium and moved to LA where she landed roles immediately in film and television, including Strange Wilderness and Night Stand with Dick Dietrich.
Ena married Emmy-award winning producer, John Burrud, collaborating with companies such as the Discovery Channel, Canal+ and Disney. Ena chose to take a decade off acting to care for the neuro-divergent needs of one of her children. During that time, she studied and earned certifications in Yoga Therapy and Yoga Nidra, opening a private practice focused on PTSD and generating programs for organizations like the VA.
Ena resides in Colorado and has been a successful working actor since 2015 garnering her 70+ credits in her career. She and her second husband, Steve Rodriguez, began Mapaches Productions, LLC in 2021. Since then, Mapaches has executive produced their first feature film Yellow Bird, in which she plays Ellie, a lively trailer trash gold-digger. This film received Best Feature at the Santa Monica Film Festival and Best Comedy at the 2023 Independent Filmmakers Showcase/LA Film Festival. In development, Ena is collaborating on the series pitch for a female-driven gothic western, Viscious Kin with writer/director Rebekah Wiggins.
