- Award winning writer, director, producer Brett Heard is a twenty-five-year veteran to the film and television industry, both in front of and behind the camera. His experience as an established stand-up comic and improviser performing across Canada and the United States, and countless acting roles in television series, TV movies and Hollywood features evolved into a successful career as a storyteller.
In 2007 Brett launched Fresh Baked Entertainment (www.freshbakedent.com), a production company that included a brand-sponsored digital storytelling division that creates episodic series. Creating, show-running and producing multi-episode digital series financed by blue chip companies, Heard has shown unparalleled success and track-able ROI in this burgeoning field.
In 2013, Brett wrote and directed his first feature, STAG, which won numerous festival awards across Canada, USA and Europe, including nine nominations from the LA Comedy Festival, taking home the Award of Excellence. The film was sold to E One and into wide distribution internationally which included HBO, Netflix, TMN and Amazon Prime. In 2016 his second feature, GO FISH, connected with the hearts of audiences from tweens to seniors, picking up multiple "Best Feature" festival awards and is now available on Amazon Prime.
