His parents both have Cajun (French) ancestry. He is also of English, Northern Irish (Scots-Irish), and German descent.

Performed for then-US Vice President Al Gore and the Democratic Party Fundraiser in Washington, D.C. Also released his second CD, Through My Eyes.
