- He was born Michael Harrison Bendall on March 5,1962 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He has two sisters and four younger brothers. He has one son serving in the Army. His father, Fred H. Bendall was a medic in the Army and his mother, the late Linda Sue Mann lost her life to liver cancer. She had spent her career building and approving PC boards for Rockwell International. Michael left high school for a tour in the United States Navy. He worked as a news anchor for the site-TV news on-board his command. He sailed Pacific and Indian oceans. He began acting in local theater with The Blackland Players. Actor and director Joe Asbury gave him his start by playing the Russian spy in the comedy, "See How They Run". He then moved to Tyler, Texas and joined the Tyler Theatre In-The-Round located at the beautiful rose gardens. He then embarked on his professional acting career signing on with SAG agent Michael Tomas. Michael began his professional acting career working on Walker, Texas Ranger starring Chuck Norris. In addition, he was taken in under the wing by stuntman Greg Elam opening up the door performing utility stunts. He has appeared in numerous TV commercials and made for TV feature films. In 2001 he became a professional truck driver traveling to 48 states and Canada, during which time he took breaks from the road to appear in the independent film Bobby Speaking and the movie trailer A Good Man's Decision. He suffered a heart attack 2007, and then a stroke in January 2015 which ended his trucking career. Now days he is taking it easy and enjoys his other passion as a screenwriter. However, he has recovered well enough to return to the stage in professional theatre. Having played several roles in the musical, "Nanyehi ~ The Story of Nancy Ward" at the Texan Theater. Also having played, Vinnie, in "The Odd couple" at the Greenville Municipal Building. In addition to performing in the trendsetting Old-Style Radio Theatre, "The Screaming Woman" as Mr. Kelly presented by Fine Arts on Main in Farmersville, Texas. He continues to grow with Fine Arts on Main with his latest production of, "It's A Wonderful Life" in which he plays several characters.
