Syfy has announced its spring and summer slate of television series, including “Chucky” and “Reginald the Vampire.”

The network revealed the dates during NBCUniversal’s portion of the TV Critics Assn. winter press tour in Pasadena. The second half of Season 3 of “Chucky” will premiere April 10 at 10 p.m. Et/Pt. Season 2 of “Reginald the Vampire” will premiere May 8 at 10 p.m. and Season 2 of “The Ark” will arrive in the summer. Additionally, the horror drama “SurrealEstate” has been renewed for Season 3.

In Season 3 of “Chucky,” the murderous doll finds himself in the White House. Meanwhile, “Reginald the Vampire” follows a man who “finally got his life together when he was turned into a vampire.”

Porsha Williams Guobadia is rejoining The Real Housewives of Atlanta for Season 16 after a two-year absence, our sister site Deadline reports.

Williams Guobadia — who has also signed an overall scripted talent deal with NBCUniversal Entertainment — first became a part of the Bravo reality series in Season 5, later exiting the franchise in 2021 following Season 13. She went on to headline the spinoff Porsha’s Family Matters and starred in the third season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.

The BBC has released the first trailer for the six-part thriller Boat Story, starring Daisy Haggard and Paterson Joseph.

At its core, ‘Boat Story’ is a thriller with a darkly comic heart about two ordinary people whom the world has turned its back on, and whether they’re willing – or desperate enough – to do something crazy to get what they want in life. It’s rare to find a truly endearing comedy that deals well with the nuances of parenting and deftly handles dramatic moments in a compelling way. I’d argue there are two vastly underappreciated such shows, Trying from Apple TV+ and Breeders from FX. The former was renewed for a fourth season almost a year ago, and the fourth and final season of the latter is officially here. If you haven’t seen either, now is the time to check them out, and I would highly recommend starting with the lovely Breeders, which you can find on Hulu.

In its fourth and final season, FX’s “Breeders” is ending exactly the way its three creators always wanted: with brutal honesty.

“We did always want it to be honest, that’s for sure,” Martin Freeman told TheWrap in an interview conducted ahead of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. “From me, Simon Blackwell and Chris Addison’s first conversations about this show — when we were making what it would be six or seven years ago — it was basically a collection of all the things that were difficult about being parents.”

Freeman likened those initial conversations to a “comedy therapy session,” adding that he always wanted the show to be “fairly unflinching” and “not too pretty.”

The cabler announced Wednesday morning that Breeders will end with its upcoming fourth season.

In addition to the final season news, we also learned Breeders Season 4 will launch on Monday, July 31.

Episodes will roll out weekly and be available on Hulu the morning after they air linearly on FX.

Breeders Season 4 begins with a time jump of five years, beginning with Paul (Martin Freeman) and Ally (Daisy Haggard) getting the mother of all bombshells at Christmas dinner.

The fourth season of “Breeders” will be the show’s last, FX has announced.

The news comes just one month before the premiere of Season 4, which debuts on the network July 31 with episodes available to stream the next day on Hulu. Starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard, the comedy about parenthood will pick up five years after the events of Season 3, which saw Freeman’s Paul and Haggard’s Ally on the brink of splitting up.

According to a press release, the fourth and final season of “Breeders” will bring “the biggest parenting challenge that Paul and Ally have ever faced, as 18-year-old Luke (Oscar Kennedy) drops a bombshell at Christmas dinner that will change everyone’s lives forever. FX’s Breeders is coming to its conclusion.

The Disney-owned cable network on Wednesday announced that the family comedy starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard will end with its upcoming fourth season. The final 10 episodes of the show will premiere July 31 on FX, with weekly installments of the series available the following day on Hulu.

Season four of Breeders was formally announced in July 2022, a day after its third season concluded on the linear network. The series grew its international base last year when it was available on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ under the Star banner elsewhere in the world.

The final season will jump ahead five years and follow the Worsleys on the verge of splitting up and facing their biggest challenges as parents.

British film, television and theatre director Piers Haggard, who directed Pennies From Heaven and a campaigner for the rights of his fellow directors, has died aged 83.

He began his career in television in the 1960s before directing Dennis Potter adaptation Pennies From Heaven, starring Bob Hoskins, in 1978. It won a Bafta for Most Original Programme and is considered a landmark in British television history.

His film credits included cult classic The Blood On Satan’s Claw (1971); Quatermass (1979) written by Nigel Kneale; Venom (1982) with Oliver Reed and Klaus Kinski; Mrs.

Haggard’s agents Casarotto Ramsay & Associates announced the news on Twitter, writing: “Our beloved client, Piers Haggard was a truly remarkable filmmaker, campaigner for directors’ rights, and wonderful human being. He will be deeply missed by us and all who knew him.”

His best-known work was the BAFTA-winning 1979 series Pennies from Heaven, which was written by Dennis Potter and starring Bob Hoskins and Cheryl Campbell.

Born in London to parents Morna Gillespie and the actor, poet, and novelist Stephen Haggard, he started his career as an assistant director at the Royal Court in 1960, before moving to television in 1965.
