Renowned filmmaker Gunasekhar rose to fame with films like Choodalani Vundi, Okkadu, and Rudhramadevi. Now the director is gearing up to direct a new film titled Euphoria. He unveiled the project along with its title poster on Tuesday.

Gunasekhar shared a video announcing the title on his social media. Sharing it director wrote, “A euphoric journey begins! Presenting the title of my next – Euphoria! A soul-stirring raw cinematic experience awaits!”

Mumbai, April 6 (Ians) The second trailer of the upcoming film ‘Shaakuntalam’ was unveiled here on Thursday. The trailer, which is 1 minute and 34 seconds in length, promises a visual treat and features Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan.

The film tells the story of epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant from Mahabharata, portrayed by Samantha and Dev Mohan.

The film is based on Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play ‘Abhijnana Shakuntalam’.

The film has been written and directed by Gunasekhar and presented by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations in collaboration with Gunaa Teamworks.

Produced by Neelima Guna, the movie will release on April 14 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada in 3D format.

Hyderabad, March 21 (Ians) As Tollywood movie “Shaakuntalam”, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, inches towards theatrical release in April, the expectations around the movie are constantly on the rise.

The makers have now revealed that Bollywood veteran Kabir Bedi essays the role of ancient sage Kashyapa in the Gunasekhar directorial.

“Among the Saptarishis of the Rig Veda.. The sage from who’s name the magnificent region of ‘Kashmir’ derives its name.. A prime figure in this tale of Shakuntala-Dushyant. @iKabirBedi as Sage Kashyapa. #Shaakuntalam,” the makers, Guna Teamworks tweeted on Tuesday.

“Shaakuntalam” is a retelling of the classic tale of Shakuntala and Dushyant, the parents of Bharat, after whom Bharatvarsh or India derives its name.

Director and film maker Gunasekhar has in 2015 made a historical on famed Kakateeya queen Rudhramadevi who ruled over present-day Telangana. His directorial “Okkadu” starring Mahesh Babu in 2003, was a massive hit.

Rudhramadevi is another creature altogether. Vast, panoramic, spectacular and deeply resonating with relevances that go way beyond the 13th century the film is a marvel of construction and execution.

The plot is a spiraling architecture of infinite intrigue and intricacy weaving in its flamboyant fabric aeons of courtly intrigue. Rudhramadevi is an upcoming Hindi, Tamil and Telugu historical film, based on the life of Rudrama Devi one of the prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan Plateau, and one of the few ruling queens in Indian history.

The film is being written and directed by Gunasekhar in 3D and features an ensemble cast of Anushka Shetty, Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Vikramjeet Virk, Prakash Raj, Krishnam Raju, Nithya Menen, Baba Sehgal and Catherine Tresa, among others. Anushka Shetty plays the role of Rudrama Devi.The film’s soundtrack and background score were composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
