Joseph Fraley won the "Great Teacher Award" as an Instructor of Film Production and Advanced Screenwriting at the Art Center College of Design in the 1990s.
Flew Big Mother rescue helicopters in Vietnam and won the Navy Flight Medal, Then was part of the Apollo 8 recovery crew in 1968. Flew in the reserves then retired from the Navy Reserve in 1980 as a Commander.
