Late night icon Jay Leno and podcaster and stand-up comic Adam Carolla will give a crash-course in comedy to aspiring comedians and television writers as part of the first-ever Comedy Fantasy Camp, which will take place in Hollywood, California from Oct. 12 to 15.

Over the course of the camp, attendees will participate in mentoring sessions, Q&a’s and masterclasses and develop their own stand-up routines. Writers will collaborate on writing skits and see their work performed by the aspiring comics in a live comedy show at Hollywood Improv. Campers will also have the opportunity to pitch their own show ideas to a panel of experienced producers and writers.

“We are thrilled to bring the Comedy Fantasy Camp to life,” Carolla said in a statement. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for attendees to learn the ropes from seasoned comedians and writers, and to get an inside look at the comedy industry.

Things aren’t looking great for Fox comedy Welcome To Flatch.

The series, which is a remake of British comedy This Country, was the only live-action series that the network hasn’t made a decision on and it take a while.

Michael Thorn, President of Scripted Programming, Fox Entertainment, said that “launching our next great live action comedy is a top priority, so you can expect some announcements as soon as the strike ends”.

Welcome To Flatch, which comes from Jenny Bicks and Paul Feig, has aired for two seasons on Fox with its second season finishing in February.

The series, which stars Sean William Scott, Holmes, Sam Straley and Aya Cash, is produced by Lionsgate, BBC Studios’ LA production arm and Fox Entertainment.

The Cleaning Lady will be back for another go-round. Fox has renewed the popular series for a third season, the network’s first live-action scripted renewal for the 2023-24 season. Additionally, Jeannine Renshaw (Good Girls) also has joined the show as an executive producer and will serve as showrunner with Miranda Kwok.

Exclusive: Rock and roll fantasy camp could be heading to the small screen.

Fox is developing single-camera comedy Rock Camp from The Goldbergs co-exec producer Steve Basilone, Jeff Rowe and David Fishof, founder of Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp.

The project follows a down on his luck rock star, who after a series of screw-ups, begrudgingly goes to teach at Rock Camp — a summer camp where anyone can live out their fantasy of shredding next to their favorite rockers — in order to satisfy a court mandate and save his reputation.

Basilone, who has also written on Community and The Michael J. Fox Show, will write and will exec produce alongside Rowe, and Fishof.

Fishof started Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp after having worked with Ringo Starr, Roger Daltrey, The Monkees, Joe Walsh and Peter Frampton. He launched it in 1997 and has put more than 6,000 folks through their rock star dreams.

Grunge legends like Alice in Chains’ Jerry Cantrell and Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil will lead next year’s “Sounds of Seattle” Rock Camp, taking place February 17th-20th, 2022 in Los Angeles.

Original Pearl Jam drummer Dave Krusen, Jane’s Addiction’s Stephen Perkins and Nickelback’s Mike Kroeger will also take part in the Rock Camp, where attendees will rehearse and be mentored by their rock star “counselors,” leading up to public performances at famed L.A. venues at the Viper Room and the Whisky-a-Go-Go.

Los Angeles, Sept 6 (Reuters) - After traveling the world and giving aspiring musicians a chance to jam with their favorite stars, the Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp announced Thursday it was setting up a permanent home in Las Vegas.

Starting in October, aspiring rockers who have dreamed of playing with their musical heroes can sign up for the camp's courses at the MGM Grand hotel and casino. Upcoming camps will feature rock legends as Roger Daltrey, Jack Bruce, Alice Cooper, Dave Navarro, Sammy Hagar, Gene Simmons and Vince Neil.

Camp founder David Fishof, a former manager and tour producer for Ringo Starr and The Monkees, said he had been looking for a permanent location for some time to cope with growing demand.
