Why Watch? This short film from Richard Hughes is sweat and gristle. It’s the cinematic equivalent of a fist. Yet like most outstanding explorations of manhood, Man proves the power and pure muscle are not enough to make you whole. It focuses on a middle-aged sheep shearer who’s one bad afternoon away from being sent to pasture. He takes a young kid under his wing, trying to teach him to stay on the right path, but the young troublemaker has the unfortunate solution to the old man’s problem in a tiny plastic bag. One thing is absolutely clear…American (among others) macabre movie-making certainly does not have the exclusive fingerprints on depravity when it comes to butchering badasses and their perverse hankering for some naughty, nightmarish activities. Enter Australia’s resident psychopath Mick Taylor (John Jarratt), the demented Down Under dude with the penchant for murderous mayhem in the disturbingly inspired indie horror vehicle ‘Wolf Creek 2′.

Writer-director Greg McLean once again takes audiences on a warped journey into the Australian Outback where notorious pig farmer-turned-serial killing menace Mick Taylor continues his sinister carnage in the middle of nowhere as senseless slayings are strangely carried out by the brutal bushwacker. In 2005′s ‘Wolf Creek’, Mick had the blood-thirsty penchant for targeting unsuspecting tourists while chopping his two-legged prey to smithereens.

Former Neighbours star Shane Connor has broken his silence about his decision to sue Grundy Television following his dismissal from the soap in 2003. Connor, who starred as builder Joe Scully, was sacked from the series following a number of altercations with fellow cast and crew members.
